Review: Samsung Galaxy S III

Samsung rightfully enjoys pointing out that it ships more Android smartphones than anyone else. And, with its new Galaxy S III , the South Korean electronics giant has accomplished something only Apple has been able to do so far: sell the same exact phone at the same price across major U.S.
Pros:
  • A blazing fast beast of a phone with 2GB of RAM and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor
  • The display is a beauty, just short of the iPhone and One X screens
  • Handset is thin and light
  • The same hardware is sold across five U.S
  • carriers at the same price point
Cons:
  • Samsung's TouchWiz software includes a lot of half-baked features that aim for innovation but miss the mark - sharing apps in particular
  • Styling is boring, and not exciting enough for a flagship phone

The Galaxy S III, as Samsung touts it, is “inspired by nature â€" it sees, listens, responds, and allows you to share the greatest moments,†and that theme is ever present when you turn on the phone for the first time.
Pros:
  • A pretty cool feature is window-in-window, which allows you to watch a video and look at your home screen or browse the web at the same time
  • Sporting Android 4.0, aka Ice Cream Sandwich, the S III means business.
Cons:
  • The only real problem with this device is the price

Not that great

I went from my iPhone 4 and thought I'd try out the s3. If you like the sorta of open source tech stuff then you will enjoy this phone. However the build quality isn't there yet. It's all plastic and feels cheap for the price.

Bad luck for me

I bought the phone for 2 weeks and found autofocus of the camera didn't work. Sent it back to shop for repair. And I was told to wait for 3 weeks to get the phone back. Even let me to wait after S4 release.

Very disappointed with Battery life

I have the phone set up well, I had a Samsung Droid befor and the battery was great.<br />This unit battery will sometimes not last a full day of little use after a full charge at night.
Pros:
  • Nice Overall Features
Cons:
  • Battery Is Lousy
