Hands-on review: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 + S Note software
I was only able to use the Note 10.1 for a very brief period of time, but I was able to test out many of the things I was curious about – after all, you don't need to look at a car with square wheels for that long to realize it won't run well.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
Samsung has made something of a meal of its entry in to the tablet market. There have been Galaxy Tab tablets in many sizes and specifications, yet none has enjoyed the popularity of the company's smartphones.

S-Note is not up to speed
This tablet is very good for regular tablet functionality, but s-pen addition suppose to make it very attractive. I hoped for S-note application shape recognition to be very useful in drawing diagrams, but it is not. After 3-4 squares, s-note freezing and not drawing anymore.
Pros:
- Light
- Battery
Cons:
- S-Note application slow

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 review
Some clever touches and we like the stylus, but it's an expensive tablet and the screen is low resolution compared to the competition

Overall, the Galaxy Note 800 Review shows that this tablet is not a perfect option for mid-end consumers, who are opting for a less expensive one with some decent features. The tab features almost all the sophisticated functions and applications.
Pros:
- 10.1 inches PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16 M colors
- Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz UX UI
- 1.4 GHz quad-core Cortex-A9 CPU
- Mali-400MP GPU
- 2GB of RAM
- S Pen input with well-designed gestures
- 5 MP autofocus camera with 2592?
Cons:
- Below average screen resolution for the class
- Proprietary 30-pin connector for charging and connectivity
- No Full-HD
- Poor 720p video recording
- Price is expensive

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 review
There's not really many places you can fault the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It's made a significant improvement in most departments and does more with the design to hide some of its hulking size.
Pros:
- Beautiful
- bright
- screen
- Great battery life
- Lightning fast
Cons:
- Overbearing TouchWiz UI
- Disappointing speaker
- Very big

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 review
Samsung again has some of the best internal hardware on offer with the Note 10.1, but it's let down by an average screen, some poor external design choices, and software with good ideas but poor execution.

Review: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
Some apps can be launched side-by-side, as shown here, so you can draw or take notes while surfing the web or watching a video.
Pros:
- Drawing and writing on the Note 10.1 feels much more natural than on the Note phone
- Front-facing speakers aren't better than good headphones, but they're better than most tablet speakers.
Cons:
- The S Pen and a slick screen lack the accuracy to make this a tool for professional artists
- The Note 10.1 is quick, but not as fast as rival tablets from Asus and Apple
- The 1280 x 800 pixel display falls short in today's post-Retina world.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 review (2014 Edition)
I'm still waiting on the device that could digitize my entire life. The Note 10.1 seems to have all the right ideas, but there's still just too much friction. I enjoyed using S Note and Air Command, but each has its own idiosyncrasies and complications that just don't exist with a piece of paper.
Pros:
- Useful handwriting recognition
- Beautiful high-resolution display
Cons:
- Sluggish performance
- High price
- For a pen-enabled tablet
- it's not geared toward pen users
