Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Quad Core Tablet Review

Samsung recently launched the follow up to their Galaxy Tab line of Android-based tablets, the Galaxy Note 10.1. Although the original Galaxy Note's form factor didn't quite conform to either traditional smartphones or tablets, and some even dubbed it a "phablet", it has been a huge success for...
Pros:
  • Fastest Andoid Tablet We've Tested To Date
  • Excellent Battery Life
  • S-Pen Support
  • Optmized Version of Photoshop Included
  • Great Speakers
Cons:
  • Relatively Low-Res Screen In This Price Segment
  • Multi Screen Only Works With Certain Apps

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 review

Some clever touches and we like the stylus, but it's an expensive tablet and the screen is low resolution compared to the competition

Overall, the Galaxy Note 800 Review shows that this tablet is not a perfect option for mid-end consumers, who are opting for a less expensive one with some decent features. The tab features almost all the sophisticated functions and applications.
Pros:
  • 10.1 inches PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16 M colors
  • Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz UX UI
  • 1.4 GHz quad-core Cortex-A9 CPU
  • Mali-400MP GPU
  • 2GB of RAM
  • S Pen input with well-designed gestures
  • 5 MP autofocus camera with 2592?
Cons:
  • Below average screen resolution for the class
  • Proprietary 30-pin connector for charging and connectivity
  • No Full-HD
  • Poor 720p video recording
  • Price is expensive

Review: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

With over 10 million units sold globally, Samsung was clearly onto something with its original Galaxy Note : a 5.3-inch Android smartphone that was notable for re-introducing the stylus pen to the masses.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Review: Supersize Me

Does size really matter? Is bigger really better? When the Galaxy Note phablet (eugh) first hit the market, everyone started scratching their heads. ‘ Whatever will we do with such an enormous, category-straddling device? ‘ ‘ Wouldn't this S-Pen stylus concept do better in a tablet? ‘, they asked.

Review Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8010) Tablet

Samsung has always offered something special with its Galaxy Note series of tablets and we expected the same to be true for the Galaxy Note 10.1. Nonetheless, the exceptionally good performance of the 10.1-inch tablet surprised us.
Pros:
  • - Good manufacturing quality
  • - High contrast display
  • - Very high performance
  • - Good accessories
  • - Interesting additional features
  • - 50 GB Dropbox storage
  • - 3G version optional
  • That Samsung opted for a self-made processor that makes the combined Tegra 3 competition appear obsolete
Cons:
  • - Only 16 GBs internal memory
  • - HDMI only via adapter
  • - Not very bright display
  • - Mediocre speakers
  • The display could be a bit brighter
  • and more internal memory could also certainly be put to good use

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Android tablet review

So, really, is a stylus enough of a difference to make you choose this tablet over another? Actually, the more you use it, the more natural it becomes. And the nippy processor and extra RAM mean the Note 10.1 flies along very agreeably. The display is good, but not amazing.
