Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
Samsung has made something of a meal of its entry in to the tablet market. There have been Galaxy Tab tablets in many sizes and specifications, yet none has enjoyed the popularity of the company's smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone-slash-tablet-but-probably-smartphone was made remarkable mostly by virtue of its massive, 5.3-inch screen. The Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, on the other hand, is rather unremarkable at first glance.

Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 Tablet Review
Samsung has done an admirable job with the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and it certainly offers some stiff competition to the family of iPads and other Android-based tablets. Whether or not it is a "game changer" remains to be seen, but for those not committed to the Apple cult, it is a very credible...

Good ideas, middling execution: the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 reviewed
Smartphones and tablets with touchscreens have succeeded in no small part because of their simplicity. Things like memory management and multiple layered windows were removed from the equation and replaced with fullscreen applications that allowed for only minimal background activity.
Pros:
- Speedy internals and lots of RAM
- S Pen is comfortable and responsive
- Mini apps and Multiscreen mode are good ideas
- but they're limited by the small number of available apps
- Good battery life
- Front-facing speakers
Cons:
- Lack of Jelly Bean leads to intermittent jerkiness despite the hardware
- Bright screen with good colors and viewing angles is marred by a low resolution for this price range
- S Note is promising but unstable
- especially in handwriting recognition mode
- Middling cameras
- Lack of NFC
- Cheap
- flexible

S-Note is not up to speed
This tablet is very good for regular tablet functionality, but s-pen addition suppose to make it very attractive. I hoped for S-note application shape recognition to be very useful in drawing diagrams, but it is not. After 3-4 squares, s-note freezing and not drawing anymore.
Pros:
- Light
- Battery
Cons:
- S-Note application slow

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (Wi-Fi)
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 ($499 for 16GB, $549 for 32GB) is the first tablet to actually change my workflow. It's the only 10-inch Android tablet with clear consumer advantages over the iPad .
Pros:
- Pressure-sensitive stylus with several drawing and note-taking apps
- Split-screen function
- IR remote.
Cons:
- Low-res screen at this price level
- Few apps fully support the stylus

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
As it is with many of the products we review, the question with the Note 10.1 isn't whether it is good, but why it isn't better. For about the same price, you can buy the Asus Transformer 300T with a bundled keyboard dock.
Pros:
- Lightweight construction
- Forward-facing speakers
- Top-shelf hardware makes for a smooth tablet experience
- IR blaster on top of tablet
Cons:
- Only average battery life
- Screen is OK
- but far from best in class
- S Pen is not nearly as useful as it could be
- Comparably expensive

Review Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8010) Tablet
Samsung has always offered something special with its Galaxy Note series of tablets and we expected the same to be true for the Galaxy Note 10.1. Nonetheless, the exceptionally good performance of the 10.1-inch tablet surprised us.
Pros:
- - Good manufacturing quality
- - High contrast display
- - Very high performance
- - Good accessories
- - Interesting additional features
- - 50 GB Dropbox storage
- - 3G version optional
- That Samsung opted for a self-made processor that makes the combined Tegra 3 competition appear obsolete
Cons:
- - Only 16 GBs internal memory
- - HDMI only via adapter
- - Not very bright display
- - Mediocre speakers
- The display could be a bit brighter
- and more internal memory could also certainly be put to good use
