Great Tablet
Great in between tablet (not too big, not too small). S pen comes in handy. Screen resolution is great. Battery life gets significantly better after the first few full charges. But you need to let it get down to less than 5%, and then charge it back to 100%. Overall great tablet.- Attractive Design
- Easy to Use
- Portable
- Drains Batteries
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Review: In Depth
If you're a Samsung Galaxy S3 or iPhone owner, jealous of all the S Pen prodding Note 2 folk out there, the Note 8.0 could be the perfect tablet for you. If you're a student or doodler, in need of a pen-based device, the Note 8.0 could suit you down to a t.- Great suite of applications
- Thin body and light
- compact design
- S Pen is extremely functional given the screen size
- Powerful
- Mediocre screen resolution
- Plastic build won't appeal to all
- Ergonomics of using as a phone questionable
- Expensive
So far so good...Looks/works like new...BUT....
I even called and spoke to "joseph' when I ordered it and he confirmed...'yes, it comes with 1 year'...Guess what...it's only 30 days. Would have been OK if that's what the website states (most refurbs have limited warranties) but this one particularly caught my attention because of the 1 year...- It's the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 for a great price
- The Newegg website
- clearly indicates 1 year warranty parts and labor...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?
I purchased this tablet for a family member who is an artist. The s.Pen integration with pressure sensitivity was a key reason why I bought the tablet for them (Also considered the Microsoft Surface, but the price & limited apps were negatives).
- S.pen is fantastic for drawing/scribbling
- 8" screen is a good size
- Basic camera with no flash
- Some parts of samsung custom interface feel unnecessary/dated
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is not a tablet. It's a phone-tablet hybrid, and according to Kob Monney of What Hi-Fi, it's one that "showed promise when it was released." Since that time, however, it has already been supplanted by newer rivals, which either use more compact designs or simply offer...- Large
- high-definition screen
- Comes with typical phone functions
- Long-lasting battery
- Too big to be used as a main phone
- High price tag
not sure what you want here
I use this for personal use instead of my laptop. When I have had problems on how to do something, Samsung TS has been great, very patient with a nivice like myself. I am very happy with not only HH Greg's pricing, but the product itself. I'm Hooked!!!- Easy To Set Up
- Easy To Use
- Low Power Consumption
- Quality Construction
- None of the above
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 review
The Galaxy Note 8.0 expands the Galaxy Note II' s screen to eight inches, bringing it firmly into tablet territory, and competition with the iPad mini and Google Nexus 7 . It's on sale now for around £340 for the Wi-Fi only version (there's also one that adds a 3G SIM).- Stylus for drawing and writing
- good screen
- powerful processor
- large battery
- expandable memory
- Not cheap
- rivals can do the same for less
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 review
Given that the Note 8.0 reads like the greatest hits of Samsung's Galaxy on paper, you may expect it to be a triumph of engineering. And, in a way, it is. With a vibrant 8-inch, 1,280 x 800 display, powerful Exynos 4 Quad processor and healthy 2GB of RAM, the Note 8.0 soars.- Sturdy build quality
- Strong performance
- Vibrant display
- Pen can now be used to tap the capacitive soft keys
- Not many tablets this size with pen support
- Disappointing battery life
- No HSPA+ option in the US
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Review
The Note 8.0 is one of the best Android tablets on the market, but it's difficult to recommend over the cheaper and in many ways superior iPad mini, based on the latter's app selection alone.- - Fast
- stable and phone app friendly
- - Screen is relatively sharp with good viewing angles
- - S Pen is hugely improved over previous generations
- - Battery life is sufficient for most use cases
- - Preloaded pen-centric apps are useful
- - Build quality leaves a lot to be desired
- - Strange array of hardware buttons biases portrait mode
- - Expensive
- - Limited selection of tablet apps
- - Rear camera is grainy and unnecessary
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Review
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is easy and comfortable to hold The signature feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is, of course, the S Pen stylus- Handwriting done right
- Tons of custom features and enhancements
- Top-notch system performance
- Screen resolution could be higher
