Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 review
The story of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 really starts with a different device - the Galaxy Note 10.1 . Samsung advertised a power-user's dream device: letting you edit documents or draw with a pen, do more than one thing at a time, and even take handwritten notes like it's 1746 or something.- S Pen is a great drawing tool
- Fast
- consistent performance
- Light and thin
- Samsung software is overbearing
- Weak
- poor speakers
- Display resolution is quickly becoming obsolete
Not worth it
The device has a good looking. But for an 8" tablet, it simply does not worth the price. For the same price, you could buy an iPad Mini; and it is more expensive than the Dell Venue Pro 8" running full Windows 8.1 (note not the RT version with Microsoft Office).- Battery Life
- Value/Price
- only 16gb
- price
can't put it down
I love this tablet so much it does everything i want it to and has a great amount of apps and books/films/tv series and so many things you can't get bored would recommend it to anyone with its extra artistic features that come with the s pen and note applications very handy for everyday use
So far so good...Looks/works like new...BUT....
I even called and spoke to "joseph' when I ordered it and he confirmed...'yes, it comes with 1 year'...Guess what...it's only 30 days. Would have been OK if that's what the website states (most refurbs have limited warranties) but this one particularly caught my attention because of the 1 year...- It's the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 for a great price
- The Newegg website
- clearly indicates 1 year warranty parts and labor...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0
The 8in Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 gives stylus connoisseurs a tablet that sits somewhere between pocket-sized and full-sized.- 8in screen
- S-Pen stylus
- Smooth navigation
- Not a Full HD screen
- So-so video performance
- High price
- Old version of Android
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Review: In Depth
If you're a Samsung Galaxy S3 or iPhone owner, jealous of all the S Pen prodding Note 2 folk out there, the Note 8.0 could be the perfect tablet for you. If you're a student or doodler, in need of a pen-based device, the Note 8.0 could suit you down to a t.- Great suite of applications
- Thin body and light
- compact design
- S Pen is extremely functional given the screen size
- Powerful
- Mediocre screen resolution
- Plastic build won't appeal to all
- Ergonomics of using as a phone questionable
- Expensive
ATT Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Review GT-N5120
AT&T released their version June 21st, 2013. As per the norm around here we actually use things for several months before we write a full review. Great Tablet
Great in between tablet (not too big, not too small). S pen comes in handy. Screen resolution is great. Battery life gets significantly better after the first few full charges. But you need to let it get down to less than 5%, and then charge it back to 100%. Overall great tablet.- Attractive Design
- Easy to Use
- Portable
- Drains Batteries

Cheaper than currys and quicker too. Also kept informed as to the status of the delivery.
So Far So Good, but 16 GB is more like 8 GB
I have been a fruit brand user for about 4 years and I was never drawn to their tablet simply because it's just a physically bigger phone. S-Note and the expandable memory features separated the two devices in my mind.- s-note s-pen
- expandable memory
- to many pre-loaded apps
