  • dual control wheels and swivel AMOLED screen
  • Functional
  • easy-to-use built-in Wi-Fi
  • Fast autofocus and shot to shot performance
  • Great video quality
Cons:
  • JPGs appear over processed
  • although vibrant
  • No customization options for advanced users
  • Auto ISO limited to 800
  • 3.3x optical zoom can feel limiting

Underrated enthusiast compact for the money

This is the only camera that I know of that provides an excellent 24mm F1.4 lens and articulating screen at a rock bottom price. Build quality is outstanding. If I were picky about the cons, it would be the quality of the jpegs.
Pros:
  • Great value
  • wifi
  • articulating screen
Cons:
  • Large raw files
  • jpegs artifacting

Samsung EX2F review

The EX2F is a good example of getting what you pay for. It's the cheapest of the high-end advanced compacts, and while it does offers some excellent features, good overall performance and outstanding low-light results, it simply can't match the image quality of its more expensive rivals.
Pros:
  • Solid build quality
  • Operational performance
  • Feature-rich
  • Low light AF
Cons:
  • Lens quality
  • High-ISO noise

Cons:
  • Pricey
  • No EVF option
  • Limited (3.3x) zoom range
