Samsung BD-E5300: First Blu-ray Player Doesn't Disappoint
Very good basic Blu-ray player that will improve your DVDs
Pros:
- Good price
- upscales DVDs
- connect through USB or extrenal hard drive
Cons:
- No HDMI cable
- not many features

Product is good value for the money but...
Overall I am satisfied with the unit but it has not been without issue. The first time it was connected to wifi the unit instructed me to upgrade the firmware which resulted in the unit freezing and being sent away for repairs.

Great quality product at a great price :)
i bought this as i wanted a player to just play disks and have dlna so this suited my needs perfectly, it also has youtube which is nice if you need it. this player does not have lovefilm/ netflix but it is apparently coming in an update.

Samsung Buddies
My first Bluray! I'm not used to Bluray loading a little slower than regular DVD players. However, who cares! the picture is amazing. My mistake was that it doesn't have built-in Wi-fi. That would have been nice. But not a big deal for me because I have Apple TV.

It can play movies from hard disks
This player plays almost all formats that are available in India. It plays movies from HDD and key feature is that it plays .mkv files. Good product in basic category models. But price is higher.

Some annoying features
I bought this and then returned it because of a few annoying features. For one, when you go out of pause, it keeps a large banner of screen info on screen for about five seconds, which is a big annoying distraction. It also emits a loud musical sound every time you turn it on.

Nice Machine and Price - FORGET THE REBATE
Forget anything with a rebate.
Pros:
- Nice unit and price (with rebate)
Cons:
- Plain brown box, but it works
- 120 days so far no rebate
- No rebate support, just a phone number where, if they do not hang up on you, they just say they have no information

No Good!
This blu ray has ruined every DVD and CD that has gone into it. The blu ray almost burns the disc and it is completely unreadable now! They have huge rings about the disc - what a waste of money!
