Samsung ATIV S Review
Design-wise, the Samsung ATIV S looks like a smaller version of the Galaxy Note 2 with Windows Phone 8 inside. Samsung designed a few elements slightly differently, probably to differentiate the ATIV S from its larger Android-powered sibling, however it really feels like owning a Galaxy-series...

Samsung Ativ S
The INQUIRER has managed to get its mitts on the Samsung Ativ S ahead of the launch of Windows Phone 8 on 29 October to see whether Samsung's decision to stick with Microsoft was the right one.

Samsung ATIV S Review: the Windows Phone that could have been so much more
The ATIV S is a breath of fresh air, especially with the force of Nokia and the Lumia family of Windows Phones. It's a high-end smartphone with everything and the kitchen sink, but falls short in the marketing and OEM app department.
Pros:
- Extraordinarily light, sports an intriguing look and feel
- Has all the bells and whistles one would expect from a flagship Windows Phone, plus the added SD support
Cons:
- Home button is slightly too close to the screen
- leading to mistakes in pressing the display instead of hitting home.

Samsung ATIV S Cell Phone Review
The Samsung ATIV S is an excellent smartphone, although not as expensive as the market flagships. Its highlights are the big and bright HD screen, and the great camera. It is light and thin, which makes it easy to carry, despite of the big frontal area.

Pros:
- Snappy performance
- Better battery life than other Windows Phones
- Clear audio
Cons:
- Generic design
- Low-res display
- No standout features

Samsung Ativ Odyssey (Verizon Wireless)
Windows Phone 8 hasn't exactly transformed the smartphone space, and the Samsung Ativ Odyssey for Verizon Wireless probably won't change that. The $49.99 Ativ Odyssey is Samsung's first U.S. smartphone to run Windows 8, so it's surprising that it's a generic, middle-of-the-road handset.
Pros:
- Very good call quality
- World phone.
Cons:
- Uninspired design
- Unimpressive display.

Samsung ATIV Odyssey
The phone has dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, NFC, a GPS that works with Bing Maps, VZNavigator and even Nokia Drive Beta. There's a front video chat camera that works fine with Skype and an average quality 5MP rear camera with LED flash. The phone has a removable battery (a plus vs.
