Samsung ATIV S Cell Phone Review
The Samsung ATIV S is an excellent smartphone, although not as expensive as the market flagships. Its highlights are the big and bright HD screen, and the great camera. It is light and thin, which makes it easy to carry, despite of the big frontal area.
Great phone but the OS has many, many bugs
The phone in it's spec. is great but the OS has severe flaws: constant reboots, phone turning off by itsellf, answer button not working some time. Switched to this phone model from Lumia where the issues are more agressive but it seems that some of them are present in this phone too.
Best phone ever!
Got this phone from Handtec within 24 hrs and at an unbeatable price too! Had a galaxy s3 before and never really liked it much after doing one of the updates (more to do with texting). Love this phone straight out of the box.
" As usual, got prompt and fast and trustworthy service from Clove. Keep it up guys!! Well, this is my first Windows phone and til now was playing with Android. I was very much acustomed to beutiful Sense UI from HTC, liked Note-2 Touchwiz UI.
Samsung ATIV S Review
After some delays, in November 2012 Samsung launched the ATIV S. This is the company's premium Windows 8 smart phone. With its big display and brightly coloured Windows Tiles it will surely be a force to be reckoned with in the coming months.- - Looks good
- - Replaceable Battery
- - No 4G
- - Plastic build
Great phone. Too bad it's got Windows 8.
Everyone on the boards says that Windows 7 was great. Windows 8?? Eh! The thing I dislike the MOST about the Odyssey is that it's almost impossible to manage the memory. I have an 8 gb SD card. I can tell the phone to put new pictures and sounds on the card. Everything else is cemented in place.- Built-in speakers
- Bright display
- Realistic color
- Lightweight
- see above
Samsung ATIV S Review: the Windows Phone that could have been so much more
The ATIV S is a breath of fresh air, especially with the force of Nokia and the Lumia family of Windows Phones. It's a high-end smartphone with everything and the kitchen sink, but falls short in the marketing and OEM app department.- Extraordinarily light, sports an intriguing look and feel
- Has all the bells and whistles one would expect from a flagship Windows Phone, plus the added SD support
- Home button is slightly too close to the screen
- leading to mistakes in pressing the display instead of hitting home.
Great, great windows 8 phone.. great price.. music sound not perfect but can be rectified
This is an almost perfect first gen premium windows phone. It is bigger than the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X. It also has micro SD support, removable battery and front facing camera, which sets it apart from some of the other devices.
An affordable entry-level Windows phone
The Samsung Ativ Odyssey provides an affordable but not thrilling Windows Phone 8 experience.- The Samsung Ativ Odyssey is compact and affordable
- and offers the clean Windows Phone 8 UI as well as 4G LTE
- The Samsung Ativ Odyssey's small screen
- blah design
- and 5MP camera won't knock your socks off
The Samsung Ativ S is the thinking man's Windows Phone. Nokia's mammoth marketing campaign for its Lumia 920 gave the impression that it was the sole Windows 8 Phone handset to own.
