You will find cheaper and speedier 2TB models on the market. The 870QVO brings barely anything new to that storage category; however, it might be worth considering should you want an SSD bigger than 4TB.

Endurance could be better; Some storage tiers are expensive; Only three year warranty; No PCIe iteration

I have a mixture of the QVO and EVO SSDs across five machines, I don’t notice the difference in every day use to be honest. I understand that the sustained writes on QVO are slower, it’s just not noticeable. Steam will download at 85MB/s to it no problem, and then during install I see the drive at around 250-300MB/s. No complaints.

Using this as the data SSD alongside a 970 as as the boot drive. Works great, SATA bus can get saturated with large files, but that's not the SSD's fault (as far as I know)
