Samsung Series 7 Slate PC review
The Series 7 is fast and powerful enough to replace a travel laptop, but with a price this high and battery life this short, it's best suited for businesses with very specific needs.
Pros:
- Fast performance
- Smooth pen input
- Works well as a laptop replacement
Cons:
- Very short battery life
- Heavy and bulky for a tablet
- No full-sized SD slot

Samsung Series 7 Slate PC review
Samsung has released at least half a dozen Android tablets in the last year or so, but the Series 7 Slate is something different. It's full-fledged Windows computer with a high resolution 11.6 inch display, a powerful Intel Core i5 processor, and support for finger or digital pen input.

Review Samsung Series 7 XE700T1A-H01DE Tablet/MID
With the slate PC, Samsung is on uncommon ground and offers an interesting concept. For this the manufacturer demands a massive wad of cash. In return the user is promised the best from the world of notebooks and tablets. And as a matter of fact, the XE700T1A is convincing.

Samsung Series 7 Slate
The Samsung Series 7 Slate is definitely the best slate form factor Windows 7 tablets to hit the market, and it's earned our Editor's Choice award. It packs plenty of power thanks to the Intel Core i5 CPU and Intel HD 3000 graphics that trounce Atom-based tablets from HP, Acer and Fujitsu.
Pros:
- Relatively light
- excellent touch experience by Windows standards
- active digitizer with pen
- fast
- decent battery life
Cons:
- Not cheap
- but you do get what you pay for

Samsung is no stranger to the tablet world, but this model is its first attempt at a Windows-based slate. The Samsung Series 7 Slate benefits from Samsung's overall design experience; at 1.29cm thick, the Series 7 Slate is particularly thin for a Windows 7 tablet.

Priced at AED 4999, the Samsung Slate PC Series 7 is certainly not cheap and more than twice of what you could get an iPad or an Android based tablet for. But then again, the Slate is a full blown PC and not a cut-down version of an OS.
