The Saints are back and are throwing any little bit of sense right out of the window. Volition have taken the Saints brand far beyond anything that seemed reasonable, but is it for the best?

When all is said and done, Saints Row IV is a blast. This new take on the formula gives rise to many new and interesting ideas and it allows the game to sink further into the realms of the weird and wonderful.

Great super powers; Awesome humour; Decent amount of content

Like the Third Street Saints themselves, the Saints Row series has graduated from a humble beginning into a monstrous entity that doesn't so much "take over" the world as infect it with its unstoppable hubris. The original Saints Row title started out as a GTA clone, and a damned fine one at that.

Saints Row IV is the pinnacle of ridiculous and zany with its open world smashed open with the addition of powers and living in a simulation. It's easily the funniest game I've played in a long time and it plays like a dream too, GTA V may be round the corner…but Saints Row IV has plenty to offer as...

The high-octane pace and setting will blow you away. If you think you would enjoy GTA with added superpowers, this is the game for you. Enjoy every minute of it.

I'll just come right out and say it, this is the worst of the series. While the game adds superpowers to the gameplay it's lost nearly everything else that's made it good. It hasn't lost a lot of what made it fun so it's still an alright game but from the excellent Saints Row 2 it's fallen into...

Recycled city; lost all the heart and charm; lack of originality; not a lot of new customization options

saints row turned into a blatent kick in the junk with its third iteration. Saints row IV is the purple wing tipped shoe on that foot in said junk. I say this as both a compliment and a complaint because the IVth is really just a big expansion of the IIIrd most of the time.

following the saints row series the difference here is the game has a nice mixture of jibes at other well known games. Your character can now run as fast as any car so no real need for one if you prefer to jump buildings and run at 200mph!
