Realme 7 Pro review

This phone is proof that Realme knows how to pick its battles. Screen, storage and battery life? You won't find better than the 7 Pro for under £300. Performance is decent enough, and it's great to have little luxuries like the in-display fingerprint sensor. The camera is more of a mixed bag, thanks to questionable processing and extra lenses that don't really pull their weight, and you make do without 5G. It seems a shame to take a backwards step on display refresh rate, too, even if AMOLED is a fantastic consolation prize. The 7 Pro healthily undercuts the OnePlus Nord and Google Pixel 4a. In fact it's Realme's own confusing line-up of well-priced handsets, including the X50 5G, that offer the closest competition - but as all-rounders go, this really does do most things for most people.

Packed feature list; Super-fast charging; Excellent value;

Misses out on 5G; CPU not especially powerful; Extra camera lenses don't add much;

Realme 7 Pro Review

The Realme 7 Pro is a terrific all-round device that will delight those looking for a budget phone with decent photography and the freedom of fast-charging. The 7 Pro’s toughest competition ultimately comes from in-house, likely leaving Realme with smiles on their faces either way.

Strong all-round performance; Vibrant AMOLED display; Style on a budget; Decent photography abilities; 65W charging;

Lack of 90Hz; No 5G; Average fingerprint scanner;

Realme 7 Pro review

The Realme 7 Pro is an excellent phone with a gorgeous screen, solid performance and impressive battery life, but if you value a high refresh rate display the regular model is a better pick.

Excellent performance; Great OLED screen; Impressive battery life; Ultra-fast charging;

Cheap-feeling plastic back; Frustrating fingerprint sensor; Only 60Hz;

Realme 7 Pro review: Further progress

For a relative newcomer in a super competitive market, Realme is doing pretty well – it already claims 45 million users worldwide after launching in 2018 – so it has to be taken seriously. It wants to deliver quality smartphone technology at a reasonably cheap price point – a more than worthy ambition.

Good but not quite great

Great price; Charges super fast; Well finished;

Not exactly original; No LED notification light; Not waterproof;

Realme 7 Pro Smartphone Review - Super fast charging and good features

With TÜV seal. With fast loading, four cameras and stereo speakers the realme 7 Pro wants to convince. All this sounds quite impressive for a 300 Euro cell phone, but can the realme 7 Pro convince in everyday life?

The realme 7 Pro is well equipped, brings a decent camera, is on par with the competition in terms o...

fast loading; good battery life; true color AMOLED screen; much RAM; performance suitable for everyday use; decent camera quality;

PWM Flicker; slow security updates; no hybrid zoom on the camera; no 90 Hz display like the predecessor;

Realme 7 Pro initial review: An affordable champ in the making

Running up and down the spec list there's very little here not to like, especially in the price bracket the phone fits in. When it comes to pure numbers and performance, you'll struggle to find anything as compelling at the budget end of the market.

65W super-fast charging; AMOLED display; Affordable price tag; Great build quality;

No 5G support;
