Razer Tiamat 2.2 Gaming Headset Review

The Tiamat 2.2 gaming headset from Razer has impressed us positively during the test period because of the way it sounds after we have ran the Surround software, or after some small tuning but also because of the fact that it is quite light.

High quality and wonderful but you better have A SMALL HEAD to fit these. Very very narrow and do not adjust up or down either.

This does not adjust up or down on your head, so your ears better be in the right alignment or you are out of luck. The fit of your head in between the headset ear pads is very NARROW. Did not fit my skinny teen's head and gave him a headache.

superb comfort, terrible sound tiamat 2.2 V2

The Good: 1. The comfort on this headset is superb, the foams are so soft and there are a lot of space for your ears. you wont feel ear fatigue when you use this headset for hours of gaming 2. Auto adjustment headband and high quality build. you can actually feel the premium feel on this headeset 3.

"Good but not spectacular"

Not sure they do anything a cheaper headset would do but they are quite good. They didn't last long unfortunately as the dog got hold of them so have ordered a Corsair set will see how they compare.

Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 Headset Review

Five years on from the release of the original Tiamat 2.2, Razer is back with a successor – rather unimaginatively named the Tiamat 2.2 V2. The ‘2.2' moniker is important as that means each ear cup features a dedicated sub-woofer, meaning there are a total of four 50mm drivers in the headset as a...

Matte black styling looks good; Nice and comfy; 7.1 virtual surround support is very good; Decent mic; Big bass

Bass is quite loose; Mid and highs are recessed; resulting in a dark sound signature; Better all-round options available for less

Razer Tiamat 2.2

I have these and comparing them to a set of Logitech G230s is like night and day. These have a very muffled sound compared to the G230s. It is almost as if there isn't any mids or high room on these.

No...

Garbage, ESPECIALLY for the price. Go pick up skull candy crushers wireless for $100.. they will literally blow you away. Coming from someone who's spent over $600 on headphones finding the right pair over the last year.

Not bad.

This headset is decent for the price I payed. The bass isn't over the top, however its noticeable when you compare it. You need the right hardware and software for the full experience.
