A fun solid shooter that falls short of it's true potential

I played Rage on both Xbox 360 and PS3 having a blast (literally) both times.

Cool crafting system with interesting gadgets Meaty firearms arsenal Good variety of enemies

Short "Campaign" Length Useless Multiplayer Story falls short and isn't fleshed out very well

Short Fun

was fun but not long enough. The only thing I did not like about it was the use of 4 different vehicles through the game. You get used to driving one then another is mandatory to continue.

A fine piece of craftmanship

It's a scripted first person shooter. Some don't care for that and it's old school, true to id's roots. That said, the graphics are top notch, the acting is quite good, and there's quite a bit more to do than just walk around shooting things although, ultimately, that's what you'll do mostly and...

Not just your run of the mill shooter

RAGE really surprised me, I was expecting a shooter and instead I got a more beautiful and engaging Fallout game without all of the extra wandering around for no reason and extra items in my inventory I don't know what to do with. This is hands down the best looking game on my Xbox so far.

I am a sucker for vintage releases on new systems. You get all 3 Streets of Rage. Good value, however, Streets of Rage copies extensively from Final Fight (Final Fight was released in 1989 and Streets of Rage in 1991) and Final Fight does it better in my opinion.

It is perhaps a little unfair to compare it to the mighty Borderlands games, but Rage comes out a close second. The best thing about it is the AI. It makes for an often challenging game.

RAGE Review | id's Triumphant Return? Or AveRAGE?

It's here. It's finally here. RAGE, id Software's only new IP in donkey's years, has been in development for what feels like forever - and raised more than a few eyebrows due to the addition of vehicle combat and seemingly open hub areas.

Hectic; inventive; unpredictable and excellent combat; Fun vehicle segments; id Tech 5 delivers slick visuals at a consistent 60FPS

Good beginning, brilliant middle, lousy end

Smooth shooting; Entertaining; Brilliant for around ten hours

Buzz: The Ultimate Music Quiz

It does seem like Relentless Software are trying to extend to the Buzz template a little bit more with the user generated rounds and the Move controller mode, but they end up being under developed gimmicks.

Plenty of variation in the music trivia; The Paper Face feature is fun; if a little creepy; Well presented in its tongue-in-cheek way

You need to like and know about music; Move inclusion is a gimmick; Simply more of the same
