Ride 2 (PS4)

Once upon a time, a young racing game named F1 2016 fell in love with an older but well known motorcycle game called Ride. They had a whirlwind romance, and eventually got married. They decided to have a child, and that child is Ride 2.

Wide variety of bikes; good graphics; lots of content for motorcycle fans

Nothing truly unique

RIDE 2 PS4 Review

Compared to simulation racing games that involve racing cars, simulation games that feature motorcycles are a different thing entirely. Being good at car racing simulations doesn't necessarily mean that you are going to be good at motorcycle simulations, as you really do have to alter your mindset.

Ride 2: review

This generation already has a handful of games that celebrate cars and the joy of driving them, recreating their appearance and performance in eyebrow-raising detail. But whereas our four-wheeled friends have the likes of Forza Motorsport 6, Project CARS or even DriveClub, where's the equivalent...

Absolutely brilliant game. It may take you a little bit of time to master the controls and the tracks, and build up enough credits to upgrade your bikes to a competitive level, but it is well worth the initial effort to soon be racing around Donnington, Almeria, Monza and the Nordschleife on your...

Ride 2 Review – A Large Step Forward for the Franchise

Racing games fall into a whole different category from how I feel about most games. It seems most people are concerned with the simulation aspect of racing games, how well they mimic the feel and handling of a real car or motorcycle; however, as a layman I simply gauge how much fun I'm having trying...

Customizable options; Physics model best you can find; Bike and rider models incredibly detailed

Steep learning curve; Intimidating for non-motorcycle fans; AI does not scale up well

Look at long history of racing games and you'll find that bikers have always received the short end of the stick. Most bike games generally don't receive the love of their four-wheel counterparts, which results in half-hearted bike games heading to retail.

Give it the time and the ugly duckling turns into a swan | Bikes control really well | Great track selection | Many modes

Split screen frame rate is rubbish | Not many players online | Requires you to put in lots of time before it shines

Ride 2

In 2015 Ride impressed when it introduced racers to its realistic racing, allowing motorcycle fans to gawp at their favourite bikes, take to the tarmac of famous tracks and be a racer themselves, and now Ride 2 looks to up the stakes by piling more content into it and pushing the commitment to...
