Quake 4 Review

If you say the word Quake, gamers immediately get thoughts of Nail Guns, Rocket Jumps, and brown textures – lots of brown textures. Id, Raven, and Activision would like you to return to the world of Quake, but unlike Quake III, this game is a true sequel to 1997's Quake II.

Quake 4 Review

Quake IV hasn't really evolved from it's predecessors that much which makes this game very predictable and linear.

"Classic."

From the makers of the classics, before there was Call of Duty, and Battlefield. FPS devotees should visit this title, atleast for some nostalgic sake. Worth it.

Quake 4 Review

The single-player is great fun, but the uninspired multiplayer leaves a lot to be desired.

Sharp single-player campaign; Some of the best graphics around; Weapon upgrades make you rethink how you use your arsenal along the way

Multiplayer sticks too close to Quake III's blueprint; Kind of a resource hog; Vehicle sequences are a little too basic

Quake 4

As someone who's been playing id software games since the Wolfenstein 3D days, it's been intriguing to watch shooters go from genre diversion to one of the most compelling reasons to play games on a computer.

It's not THAT bad..

I liked Quake 4, it wasn't to short and was generally fun to play. The graphics are not the best the 360 has to offer but are a little better looking than the best first gen xbox/PS2 games. I had no frame rate issues and didn't find any more bugs than average.

It's a fun shooter; Lots of weapons, levels, and enemies.

Nothing new; just another shooter
