Puyo Puyo Tetris feels like the definitive puzzler for the Nintendo Switch. Both Tetris and Puyo Puyo share similarities and feel right at home together here, but the overall package feels incredibly complete and comprehensive.

The beautifully presented has a ton of content, a really fun multiplayer with a lot of variations, and is very easy to pick up and play with just about anyone despite the slight balance issues.

Tetris is a classic almost as old as gaming, having first released in 1984 before making its first appearance on Nintendo hardware in 1988. Puyo Puyo is comparatively new, but has a legacy all its own.

Puzzle games, in recent times, have become the domain of mobile platforms. We've seen them thrive on the likes of the App Store and Google Play . However the Nintendo Switch , which brings together a console and a portable gaming device, appears to be changing that.

Puyo Puyo Tetris is a perfect blend of both Puyo Puyo and Tetris and gives us our first Puyo Puyo game in over ten years and while some of its modes aren't as thrilling, the new modes offer an exciting new take on the competitive puzzle genre. - Sean Anthony
