Pro Evolution Soccer is finally back to its best, in what is undoubtedly one of the greatest sports games of all-time.

The new physics system is fantastic and changes every aspect of the game for the better; Last year's lag issues have been fixed and Master League is also back on form

Some strangely lenient refs and a curious lack of fouls from computer plays; Goalies can be a bit unreliable; Graphics could be better when viewed at a distance

In last year's review of Pro Evolution Soccer 2015, we were very happy with how the gameplay felt in Konami's football offering, something we have been more and more disappointed with as far as its main competition goes.

Despite being "the Choice of a New Generation" , Pepsi ultimately lost the Cola wars. But millions of people around the world still drink it. PES may never reclaim the spot it held 10 years ago, but maybe that just doesn't really matter.

"I had to hit it". Said apologetically, by way of explanation, sometimes when no one else is in the room. These are the kind of exclamations you find come pouring forth when you play Pro Evolution Soccer.

A few months ago, I got some hands-on time with PES 2016. The demo version of Konami 's footballing title was mightily impressive, as the level of on pitch play it delivered far exceeded my expectations.

Ah PES , Pro Evolution Soccer , Winning Eleven , formerly ISS , what a history you've had. What a 20 years you've had in the gaming industry. A past filled with triumphs in the early to mid 2000's with some of the greatest releases known to man and to the Beautiful Game.

Like it or not, Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 (PES2016) is the best football game you can buy at the moment. Traditionally a FIFA fan, I wouldn't have believed it either had I not given PES2016 a chance on the PlayStation 4.

Love all in this game. Beautiful graphic and a lot of game mode for play. I like play club because we can play and strategic in this mode!! Fantastic!!

We are a month on from the release of Konami's annual iteration of Pro Evolution Soccer , the least successful of the two "big" football releases of the year, but this year seemingly the stronger performing title. The ‘other' title I refer to in this instance is FIFA , in case you didn't know.
