Perhaps that's why Polk's MagniFi Mini soundbar might catch your eye as you peruse the many soundbar options available for $200 to $300. It doesn't really look like soundbar at all. To my eye, the MagniFi Mini looks more like a Bluetooth speaker--and technically, it is a Bluetooth speaker.

This Polk Audio mini delivers great bass and crisp sound! Having the three different settings is a huge plus that can be chosen via the remote. It also allows you to customize the volume as a whole, with complete control over how much bass you would like to add or reduce, and the same with the voice...

No complaints about the sound. The unit is very clear with balanced lows miss and highs. The biggest thing that bugged the hell out of me was the fact that in order to switch over to the Bluetooth function, you had to do it from the top of the sound bar. The remote has NO BLUETOOTH BUTTON! WTF Polk

I received this through an open-box discount, so the pricing made it hard to pass up. It has a low profile and no obnoxious flashing lights or logos, which makes it discreet. I am an audio enthusiast, so I rate the sound quality as average.
