Polaroid 300/Classic Instant Camera – Review

Fun, funky, nostalgic – Kelly Lynch checks the latest Polaroid instant. Gone are the days when taking a Polaroid shot meant holding a big black contraption up to your eye with two hands.  Polaroid's 300, labeled ‘Classic Instant' is funky and easy to handle in comparison to its predecessors.

Fun; Easy to use; Instant image; Turns itself off when not in use

Index finger can get in way of viewfinder; Can't disable flash; Price of film at $2.50 a pop

very easy to use, bought as a birth day gift for my friend. The build quality is pretty good. Looks like a toy camera, but it did its job very well. The camera is design for fun use and it did have it job done. one problem is the film is a little bit expensive.

Poloroid camers - do exactly what they proport to. No extras - just fun!

I bought the camera as a Christmas gift for one of my daughters - her request. she has had a lot of fun using the item. It is just for fun. The film is quite expensive, so she will be buying any replacement film herself.

perfect gift for my daughter

Easy to use product. As simple as put in the batteries, load the film and take the picture. My 8 year old daughter loves this. She likes to take the pictures and scrapbook with them.

Easy to Use; Good Battery Life

Film Is Expensive

"Awesome product for some, not for everyone"

The Polaroid 300 Instant Camera is perfect for some people, and not for others. This camera produces instant photos that are below-average quality. Below average to me means this: Pictures are somewhat hazy/blurred, colors are not right-on, photos are sometimes underexposed or overexposed, clarity...

vintage appearance; other lenses for cheap; small size

flash always on; blurry; not sharp; loud when printing; expensive film

Polaroid has experienced a bit of a renaissance of late. Though the original Polaroid company stopped producing film in 2009, another company bought the Polaroid name and relaunched the brand in a flurry of press and celebrity endorsement at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year.

As a slice of nostalgia, the Polaroid 300 does an excellent job of reminding us of the joys of instant photography even if the price per print is enough to make most cringe.

It's almost as good as we remembered; Compact size; Novelty value is enormous.

Expensive film; expensive camera.
