The first 'PvZ: GW' preserved the zany spirit of the original 2D tower defense and infused it with capture the flag, king of the hill, and lots of other things that ship with just about every multiplayer shooter.

Great game, loads to do and online fun. What more can you ask for!

When you're dealing with the likes of Captain Dreadbeard, Super Brainz, Kernel Corn and a time-travelling orange from the future named Citron; you have an idea what you are in for. Garden Warfare 2 is not, nor does it ever pretend to be, a traditional military-style shooter.

A hallmark of excellence. It may have some flaws, but they are negligible to what is otherwise a supreme title.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 brings back pretty much everything from the original game, and builds on it with decent single-player content, six new characters, and a handful of new multiplayer additions.

The Plants vs Zombies franchise has come a long way since the simple tower defense game that found its way into gamers' hearts back in 2009. The franchise has evolved since then, going from a tower defense game to a hybrid between the original genre and a shooter.

All in all good clean, kiddie friendly fun, recommended.

So I didn't play Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 1, but I did play the phone game on iOS and Android so when I heard that there is a Plants Vs Zombies 2 game coming out for Xbox One, I was pretty suspicious at first. However, I got a chance to play the beta and it definitely impressed me.

A worthy sequel to the original - some great new characters and plenty of quests/side-missions to keep you occupied.
