Love the Slider Switch and Magnetic Strap!

I'm glad Plantronics is still making bluetooth headsets as they seem to be getting more and more rare these days (many other manufacturers are focused on making truly wireless buds for music instead, and unfortunately a lot of them are not great for calls) My Explorer 500 works as expected.

Cant be beat

I've used plantronics for years. This is their latest in a great product line which includes the M 155 and the M 165. Great sound quality and also for those listening to you. If your looking for a small descreet well finished in ear headset this is it.

Overall quality is good..

Overall quality is good...its been few months I am using it... good voice clarity... easy to use... but voice commands don't work... and the white textured fascia is made of rubber... it just keep soaking colors from surrounding... and now it is stained... so better you buy the grey colored...

Plantronics Explorer 500

Plantronics has long been my go-to Bluetooth headset brand for call quality, although its designs range from dull to aggressively corporate. The company's mid-priced Explorer 500 headset ($59.99) fits in with that heritage: It sounds good, works well, and has a lot of fit options, but few would call...

Comfortable; Good sound and voice quality; Physical volume buttons

Range and call quality; while good; aren't outstanding

Hands on: Plantronics' Explorer 500 Bluetooth headset adds a new loop

If you're a fan of larger smartphones such as the 5.7 in. Samsung Galaxy Note or the 5.6-in. iPhone 6 Plus , you may be in the market for a Bluetooth headset. These larger phones are incredibly useful, but can be (depending on your sense of proportion) a little large to hold against your face.

Good voice quality; comfortable fit; innovative charging/storage strap; easily accessible volume and call controls; inexpensive

Single ear tip may not suit all users

Huge mistake

I regret discarding the packaging for this headset. "Breach of warranty of fitness for a particular purpose" is the phrase that comes to mind for the Explorer 500 Mobile Bluetooth Headset.

Do not get the one that comes with USB strap.

The headset work as advertised! The strap though leaves much too be desired. I purchased mine back in 3/2017. The strap refuses to charge my headset. It is not covered under warranty. Fortunately for me I found an old USB cable lying around that fit the earpiece.

Plantronics Explorer 500 Bluetooth Headset Review

Not too long ago, we took a look at the Plantronics Voyager Edge UC and Plantronics Blackwire C725. While the Blackwire C725 was terrific for use with a computer and the Voyager Edge UC is great for switching frequently between a smartphone and computer for communications, both are priced at the...

Affordable; small discrete design; super comfortable fit; USB charging cable is cleverly designed; very good HD audio and call quality

Would like for the audio volume to be able to get a bit louder
