Barely six months separate the launch of the Pentax K-S1 and the K-S2. The latter isn't a replacement for the earlier release - which famously features flashing disco lights on the handgrip - but sits above its sibling in Pentax's current D-SLR line-up.

this is the 3rd body of this specific camera that I now own. Upgraded from wet film to digital last year and wanted to keep my old Pentax fit lenses. If your thinking of going digital with a Pentax fit, this is an excellent upper mid-range digital camera.

A great deal! This Pentax is classy, unlike the Ks-1 which was ridiculous. I find the camera to be excellent for photos, not so great for videos but it's not too bad either. Apart from that I don't really find anything wrong with it, but then again I'm not too experienced. It's pretty compact.

The Pentax K-S2 offers a more classical handling and design concept than its predecessor with a standard mode dial on the top and two setup dials for exposure parameters (one near the shutter release button, the second on the back of the camera).

The K-S2 has everything you'd want from an enthusiast D-SLR. If you're new to the market and haven't already invested in lenses from another manufacturer, then this camera is certainly worth considering.

Announced in early February, 2015, the 20-megapixel Pentax K-S2 replaces the K50 and is a small step up from the entry-level K-S1. Like the K50, it's one of the few in its class with a dust-proof, weather-resistant body.

The Pentax K-S2 is a sturdy-bodied DSLR built to withstand torture, and it also delivers good image quality. Unfortunately, it loses out on account of weight, inferior video quality, tacky lens mechanism, amateurish interface, and lack of overall refinement.
