Panasonic RP-BTD10

Panasonic's RP-BTD10 joins a crowded field of Bluetooth headphones in the $150-and-up range. At $199.99, the headphones deliver on some important fronts: They don't distort, they're easy to use, and they work in wired mode.

Powerful audio with clean bass response; Can be used in wired, battery-free mode; NFC-enabled

Can sound overly sculpted in the mids; Headband isn't very padded; No inline remote or mic on included cable

Good product

Not a big fan of the plastic used. They sound good. The NFC pairing is nice.

Good solid product

Well built with quality parts. Leather like ear pads should last as long as the battery. Adequately adjustable but not for extreme sizes. Battery is not accessible so life span is limited.

Panasonic RP-BTD10 Review

Panasonic's RP-BTD10 joins a crowded field of Bluetooth headphones in the $150-and-up range. At $199.99, the headphones deliver on some important fronts: They don't distort, they're easy to use, and they work in wired mode. They could certainly be a little more comfortable, however, and bass lovers will wish that they packed a bit more low frequency punch. The RP-BTD10 isn't a thin-sounding pair, but the emphasis is definitely on the high-mids. While deep bass is reproduced, it grabs less of the spotlight with these headphones than it does with much of the competition. The less expensive Supertooth Freedom( at Amazon) and the pricier Harman Kardon BT are both solid pairs that edge out the RP-BTD10 and stand as Editors' Choice Bluetooth headphones. DesignThe RP-BTD10 doesn't employ bright red highlights, a trend that Beats started and many other headphone lines have adopted. Instead, the RP-BTD10 uses a unique, rich green hue to stand out against the typical black and metallic bod...

The Panasonic RP-BTD10 is a Bluetooth headphone pair that delivers powerful audio performance, though big bass lovers will want to look elsewhere.
