The picture below illustrates the lens's angle of view (taken from our standard position):

Extremely small size and light weight - the perfect match for the E-P1 and GF1; Fast maximum aperture; Impressive image quality at all apertures; Good build quality; proper manual focus ring and non-rotating front element

Comparatively expensive (at least at launch; No lens hood

Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7

Given its 17.3x13mm sensor, the standard lens for a Micro Four Thirds camera (according to the rule of using the diagonal length of the sensor) ought to be about 22mm. That is close enough to 20mm for this lens to be viewed as a standard optic, especially given its fast f/1.7 aperture, which echoes...

f/1.7 fast aperture

slightly noisy AF

The Panasonic Lumix G 20 1.7 Lens Review on the Olympus E-P2

The Panasonic 20 1.7 Lens Review for Micro 4/3 – I am back again with another lens review and this time it is one that I have had some real fun shooting for the past 3+ weeks on a daily basis. This review should be simple, right? Possibly the simplest I have ever written. Why you ask?

Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 ASPH - Review / Lens Test Report

The Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 ASPH is an interesting little being. The center image quality is nothing short of phenomenal. The borders are slightly worse but still very good level and that's straight from f/1.7.

Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f1.7 ASPH

This Lumix G ‘pancake' lens is normally sold with the new Panasonic GF1 camera, but it's also available separately if you've bought the GF1 with the alternative 14-42mm kit lens, or if you already own a Panasonic G1 or GH1 camera. But who would want to swap a zoom for a fixed focal length lens?

Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 ASPH LUMIX G review by Kye

if 40mm field of view is your thing, you've got nowhere else to go in the M4/3 system. optically, i had to just 'get over' the whole distortion and CA auto correction issue. so i did good god this thing is sharp.

light; tiny; optically superb

corner shading up till f4 not great but easily adjusted out; bad CA under certain conditions too (but dxo nukes them

This lens is sharp, lightweight, and a consistent performer in a variety of light conditions. I use this lens in conjunction with ann Olympus PEN EP-2 and it works very well. The focal length is perfect for a "walk around" lens and it's small size means the camera and lens will fit in pockets,...
