my favorite camera of all time... and I've owned several high-end D-SLRs. ultra wide, 16:9, and f1.4 low light. fits in pocket. take it everywhere. wow!

Very happy. But then i'm not a camera pro so the techie bits (whether good or bad) don't concern me too much. Very happy with the quality of the photos. Panoramic mode, though, is rubbish. Utter rubbish. Doesn't work. But i just use my iPhone for those so no bother there either.

The Panasonic LX7 is the top model of Panasonic's compact camera range. It uses a (large) 1/1.7" image sensor and has a moderate image resolution of 10MP, the same resolution as the forerunner LX5 but with a new lens system with outstanding speed capabilities.
Because the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7 costs almost $500, there are quite a few photographers who won't give it a second glance. For beginners, this is probably a smart idea. However, if you have some photographic experience, the LX7 is well worth a second glance ... and maybe more.

Great price. $20 cheaper than quoted in Consumer Reports Magazine. Great camera, easy to use. Took clear, sharp pictures. Very lightweight and slim. Shots look professional looking. Video quality is good, not distorted. You can slip it in your pocket, and it came with a carrying strap.
