Great travel camera
I am a DSLR user and needed a camera for travel. After reading a lot of reviews I opted for this model. I took it on a trip to Alaska, it performed excellent in the low light of overcast Seward. I shot Raw with burst to capture sea life and the camera kept up nicely.

Low-Light Excellence!
I love the f2.8 on this camera! It really takes beautiful low light pictures! Since I go to a lot of concerts, and DSLR cameras are considered "professional", this is my new go to camera. I can't wait to give it a full workout! Great camera!
A cracking all-round camera, that'll suit most needs
As a professional photographer for the past several years, I've had a good selection of cameras & lenses to see me through most photographic situations. And as much as I love my trusted dSLRs for paid gigs, a bridge camera comes in really useful when you're just wanting a lightweight, all-round...
We've finally got our hands on Panasonic's Lumix FZ200, their top-of-the-line superzoom for 2012.
Panasonic Lumix FZ200 Review
While a large optical zoom used to be enough to mark out a bridge camera, the proliferation of such technology now means that manufacturers are having to do more to make their model's stand out.- Contact maximum aperture of f/2.8 is a real welcome feature
- excellent build quality
- good handling
- solid image quality
- Lack of an eye sensor on the viewfinder
- viewfinder itself could do with being larger
- LCD screen not the highest resolution

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 ($599.99 direct) is the first superzoom camera to feature a fixed-aperture f/2.8 lens, which means that the same amount of light is captured, regardless of whether you are zoomed out at 25mm or all the way in at 600mm.- Fast f/2.8 zoom lens
- Speedy performance
- Sharp images
- Excellent EVF
- Hot shoe and mic input
- Raw support
- Expensive
- Rear LCD could be sharper
- Not the longest zoom in class
- No GPS
Still getting to know the camera, but have done a couple of good HD videos with it. Great that it has F2.8 through entire zoom range. One of the reasons I chose this model is because I use DXO raw image converter for my DSLR and it has a module for this camera.
