Very good, but not perfect

Image quality is good. It's not as good as my Nikon D800, but it's also a lot less expensive. Putting a lens this long on my D800 would cost 10 grand and weigh 12 pounds. When the D800 is too much, this camera steps in and takes over. I'm getting used to it and my photos are improving.
Pros:
  • F28 All The Way
  • Good image quality
  • Long Lens F28

One of the best "point and shoot" cameras

There are so many great features on this camera, comparable to the DSLR I had to sell and even some additional ones such as panorama. The grip is comfortable and solid in your hand which is important since this is a light camera, an advantage to me as it makes it easy to carry around on an all day...
Pros:
  • Grip is comfortable and solid in your hand
  • Larger capacity battery
  • Focus and zoom are very good
  • Image stabilization is excellent
Cons:
  • Dynamic range is a bit narrow
  • Bit of noise - even at lowest ISO 100 and cannot get anything below ISO 100

Very good camera

Casual user hoping to become enthusiast, so learning to use it. Can be complex if you go out of auto mode, but worth the trouble to get better quality photos. Nice constant f/2.8 lens to equivalent 600 mm zoom worth the lower optical zoom (24x). Also, don't have to carry multiple lens as in a DSLR.
Pros:
  • Fast/accurate auto-focus
  • Good Image Quality
  • Good Image Stabilization
  • Good in Low Light
  • Great Zoom
  • High Res Viewfinder
  • Large Clear LCD
  • Nice Body Color
  • Short Lag Time
