Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 review
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 was our favourite ultra-zoom camera of 2011, but this year's FZ200 ups the stakes yet again. It keeps its predecessor's relatively modest 24x zoom but now maintains an f/2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range.

Panasonic Lumix FZ200 Review
While a large optical zoom used to be enough to mark out a bridge camera, the proliferation of such technology now means that manufacturers are having to do more to make their model's stand out.- Contact maximum aperture of f/2.8 is a real welcome feature
- excellent build quality
- good handling
- solid image quality
- Lack of an eye sensor on the viewfinder
- viewfinder itself could do with being larger
- LCD screen not the highest resolution

Great Camera!
I purchased this camera and I must admit it took beautiful photos and very easy to use. But I decided to return it because of the high price.
Good quality at a budget price
I took it to a concert the same day I bought it and was impressed with the quality of the pics taken in the low light. Noise was at an acceptable level and the clarity of the shots was great. The rotating screen at the back made it easy for me to shoot above the crowd and follow the action.- Easy to use

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200
While compact system cameras represent the fastest growing segment of the digital camera market, superzoom sales are also especially healthy – and extremely competitive too. This, in turn, has increased the pressure on manufacturers to deliver ever more feature-packed and highly specified models.- Constant f/2.8 maximum aperture
- Excellent build quality and good handling
- Impressive image quality
- Lack of eye sensor can be a pain
- EVF could be larger
Excellent all-rounder
I love this camera. It's easy to use and the image quality is fantastic. I bought it to replace an ancient dslr as I no longer wanted the fuss of changing lenses and carrying the weight of all that camera gear while out walking. Although still early days I've been impressed with it's performance.- Excellent image quality
- Fast Burst Speed 12fps
- Full HD video
- Good build quality
- Nice Bright Viewfinder
- Quick To Focus
- True Vari-angle Lcd
- Handbook Could Be Better
It's overall a good camera, nice to use and an excellent compromise between zoom range, luminosity, image quality... the movies look really nice, as long as there's enough ambient light.
