This camera has quickly become one of my favourites. Rekindled my passion to shoot video. a couple of little annoying issues as with any camera but there are many more pros than cons. PROS 4k60, 10bit, 1080 up to 180fps, dual record, unlimited record.
This review follows on from our detailed 'First Look' article that was published in March 2017. We have now been allowed a longer time with a production-quality GH5 plus the Leica-branded DG Vario-Elmarit 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. (H-ES12060E) lens , which is reviewed separately.
Panasonic's flagship camera isn't a one-trick pony, but it does have one main boast: 4K video brilliance.
Panasonic has launched its latest flagship model- LUMIX GH5 which is capable of recording smooth, high precision 4k 60p/50p video and 4:2:2 10-bit 4K 30p/25p internal video for the first time in the world.
Panasonic's flagship mirrorless camera, the Lumix GH5, has arrived in India and has got some really fancy tricks up its sleeve. Just like its predecessor, the GH4, the camera is aimed at professional photographers and videographers and photography enthusiasts.
Red Tag Camera is awesome. Great price, wonderful customer service and fast delivery. Highly recommended. Will do business again. Nice to buy extended 3 year coverage on my GH 5. With Wal Mary at a great price ! Thank you Geo
Too often the hype exceeds the delivered product. Not in this case! The GH5 feels right in all of my uses whether photos or video. I had originally planned to put it in the air under my DJI M600P, but am rethinking that more because I enjoy using it on the ground so much.
Easy to use; Exceeded expectations; well balanced
The camera world has been moving at a slow pace over the last couple of years, with only small gains to be made. If you were to compare the GH5's image quality to the earlier GH4, for example, then the gains aren't that significant. But that's besides the point.
When it comes to pro 4K video capture there's little else to compare; Great stills camera too; Abundant autofocus options and capability (including 6K Photo; Great EVF and LCD
Sony A99 II gives high-end users a lot to consider; Some autofocus slip-ups (bright lighting; In particular; Causes issues; Chunky for a mirrorless camera
For the past couple of years my own personal and work camera has been a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 mirrorless camera. Easy to use, but with a great deal of power; my experience with it is necessarily going to partly inform this review of its successor at the top of the Panasonic digital camera heap:...
First class video and photo performance; fast and accurate focus; twin cards; excellent glass on tested model; highly flexible view screen
Quite the price increase since the DMC-GH4; still got the "Display" button in an place where it gets tripped accidentally
