Panasonic DMP-BD75
The Panasonic DMP-BD75 is a basic, entry-level Blu-ray player. This model isn't 3D compatible, but it can still be hooked up to a network or to the web for access to BD-Live content and DLNA connections.
Pros:
- Low power use
- Clear
- user-friendly menu
- Accurate image quality
Cons:
- More effort could have been made with the design
- Build and finish could be better

Panasonic DMP-BD75
Panasonic recently unveiled its 2011 product line-up at Excel in London and among the hordes of brand spanking new home cinema products on show were three 3D-ready Blu-ray players – the DMP-BDT310, DMP-BDT210, DMP-BDT110 – and two 2D players, the DMP-BDT111 and DMP-BD75.
Pros:
- Cracking picture quality
- Excellent new operating system
- DLNA networking on an entry-level deck
Cons:
- No built-in BD Live memory
- Light on features and connections
- No AAC
- WMA
- WMV support

Panasonic DMP-BD75 review Review
We have no complaints about the Panasonic DMP-BD75's performance, but we think it's too expensive compared to the competition. The excellent Sony S370 , for example, can now be found for around £120, and has BBC iPlayer, Demand 5 and LoveFilm streaming built-in.
Pros:
- Compact
- Good picture quality
- Excellent media-playback capabilities
Cons:
- Too expensive
- No online portal

Pay for what you get.
I bought this unit on sale at BestBuy for $60.99 earlier this week to upgrade to a BD player with Netflix streaming capabilities. Though it pairs nicely with Netflix queues, I found it to be a little buggy (freezing) and the overall quality of both the hardware and the interface.
Pros:
- Great Price
- acceptable picture quality
- good streaming qualities
- easy setup
Cons:
- Freezes up easily (requires unpluging to reset)!!! Cheap remote
- poor remote design. Dim green display on front panel is barely readable. Poor design of menu/interface

Compact, and environmentally friendly, the BD75 will appeal to people who want a decent player without any bells and whistles, and for a good value for money price. This player is neat and tidy and won't take grab centre stage under your television, but then that's not always a bad thing.

Basically what I wanted
Like I said, I only wanted a few features and I wanted cheap, and this looks to be exactly what i wanted. I would love to have a few more minor features work better/differently (eg: the tv volume/power buttons on the remote be programmable and not only viera-link) and if TVersity had better support...
Pros:
- Netflix button on the remote DLNA support (Tversity recognizes it) BluRay/DVD support Those 3 things are what I bought it for
- It does more, but not seemingly much, and I'm fine with that
- For the $80 I bought it for here, it's a perfect value.
Cons:
- DLNA - Tversity recognizes it as a PS3
- This might be the cause of some of my problems, but sometimes the audio gets out of sync
- Some shows, a quick rewind fixes this
- Other shows can't rewind and just start over.

Panasonic DMP-BD75
Once again, the early adopters have benefited us all. Proof, if any were needed, is here, in the shape of Panasonic 's new DMP-BD75 Blu-ray player. True, it's not compatible with 3D content, and it has only a minimum of connectivity.

Good value, good performer
I was looking for my first Blu Ray player and this guy came across my bow at a very good price--not much more than an upscaling DVD player. Its a flimsy little metal box, but in the month Ive had it, its performed very nicely indeed. Given a good DVD source, it upscales beautifully and sharply.
