Overwatch review – first person teamwork

The creators of Warcraft turn their hand to online shooters, in what is easily one of the best new games of the year.

Fantastically diverse range of characters to suit any style of play; Great art design, excellent maps, and deep but accessible gameplay

There's too little content at launch; with no story campaign and only four play modes

Overwatch review

Baz reports in from the battlefields of Overwatch, Blizzard's Team Fortress-inspired FPS that appears destined for e-sports greatness.

Amazingly addictive gameplay; An interesting, distinctive cast; Incredibly polished; Welcoming, but deep; A highlight reel generator; A cosmetic-only progression system

You have to return to real life at some point; however briefly

Overwatch

Overwatch is Blizzard's addition to the fast and often frantic first person shooter. Opting for a character based affair there are nearly two dozen uniquely designed heroes that come with their own skills to mix and match to make your ideal team of six.

Hero design – Community

Micro-transactions in a paid game – Little short on modes and maps

Purely online competitive game

Really good game using the formula of games like DOTA or LOL, and transporting it to a FPS scenario. However, be conscious that this is a PVP game, and no single player FPS.

Don't buy unless you have a PlayStation plus account

I bought this for my son and he couldn't play it as you need to purchase the PlayStation plus to play this game which it didn't state in the write up

Overwatch (PS4) Review

Overwatch combines fun objective based mechanics, and strong shooting mechanics, to provide the best experience in the genre since the launch of Team Fortress 2. The game feels great, even when you're losing.
