was sceptical due the bad or mediocre review about this game. But I really enjoyed flashpoint red river & got this game. At first the game look cheap graphically & controls for running & gunning took some getting used to. But i played the short special missions first to get a grip on the controls.

This really is a great simulation, it is very realistic, but the graphics are pretty bad, and so ist the sound. The Order- System for the Squad members is also pretty annoying, on the PlayStation it is to slow and to complicatet. I suspect, on the PC Version it will work very well.

Stand back people, this is one battle not for the weakened hearted If you're used to the Hollywood cinematics used in the likes of games such as Call of Duty and games where your bullet sponging armoury is your greatest ally then this game isn't for you.

Many PC gamers swear by (and most definitely at) the Operation Flashpoint name. This harsh, tactical first-person-shooter is also making a full appearance on consoles too for a change. It's comparable in nature with the excellent Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, but based in the very near future.

However, if you can't cope with real life, feel free to enjoy the fantasy that is Modern Warfare 2 instead. You pansy.

One bad tactical decision will cost you your life, and this is where DR shines as a fantastic game. It is rare to see games of this type to ever hit gaming consoles, so make the most out of this opportunity.

I found it very hard at first, took some time to get used to. I enjoyed playing online more than just playing the missions.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is a bit like the gaming equivalent of Marmite; you'll either love it or hate it. If you have three friends to play through the campaign with and/or huge amounts of patience there is a good gaming experience to be found.
