I love everything about racing/driving games (so I thought)

Nothing what I expected it to be. I played 2 races and was ready to throw it out! I love everything about racing/driving games (so I thought), but this one is simply terrible to play. But, if you like running into other opponents over and over and over again, this might be for you! lol.

Game Review: ONRUSH

Arcade racers, within the contemporary industry are pretty much as good as dead. As most publishers don't see any sustainability within this particular sub-genre, and even those who are still green-lightning arcade racers, are only doing so just to milk a long standing and popular IPs.

Exhilarating Gameplay; Incredibly Complex and Layered Experience; Excellent Visuals; Technically Immaculate; Easy to Pick Up/ Difficult to Master

Slight Balancing Issues; Lootbox Opening Animation Could be Improved

Onrush Review

Onrush bursts onto the scene with an attitude and swagger that hasn't really been seen since, well, the last Motorstorm. It's no real surprise when you consider it's the same studio making it, and it's apparent from the belting soundtrack to the grungy art style and the frenetic, car-wrecking...

Innovative blend of genres and inspirations; The stampede keeps the action coming thick and fast; Team-oriented vehicle classes; Looks and runs great; Comprehensive photo mode

Lacks straight forward races; Learning curve to various modes; classes and team play; Very fine line between successful takedowns and failure; Difficult to have real situational awareness

Onrush review – racing innovation

The makers of Driveclub and MotorStorm return with an arcade racer that offers genuinely new ideas and a great multiplayer experience.

All four game modes work great and the class system is inspired; Excellent graphics and well-judged vehicle handling; Inspired use of rubber-band AI to keep everyone in the race

The complexities of each class's abilities are not easily learnt in multiplayer; A little light on content, especially given the unwisely high price

Onrush (PS4)

Onrush's unique nature as a team-based vehicular combat game might throw those who go in expecting a traditional racing experience, but open your mind...

Colourful; aggressive; and great fun; Interesting vehicle classes and modes; Handling model is fantastic

AI drivers aren't great; Unskippable post-match fluff; Too intense for some players

Onrush

Arcade racers come in many guises. Motorstorm was a massive off-road brawler; Burnout was a slick, fast-paced takedown racer; Mario Kart is a cartoon battler; even Need For Speed offers nitro boosting and drifting. But what defines all of these games is an underlying theme of fun and excitement.

Onrush Review

Review by Rich Boulton. Codemasters Evo, formerly Evolution Studios of Motorstorm and Driveclub fame, wondered what would happen if you took the best clips out of a Fast and Furious trailer, of metal grinding metal and outrageous looking cars slamming into each other, and made an entire game out of...

Onrush: review

We're all familiar with the concept of the Hero Shooter, right A bright and colourful online FPS, where each character has fixed abilities and weapons including an Ultimate to charge Well, Onrush heralds the arrival of the Hero Racer. Only it doesn't. Because it's not a racer.

Onrush – Review

Onrush is that most modern of motoring concepts: a hybrid. But let's not get things skewed. This isn't some sort of eco-friendly, tree-hugging hatchback powered only by organic hummus and its owner's sense of smugness. Instead, it's a brutal new beast of a racing game.

Onrush is a racer I looked at in its Beta form , a few weeks back, and now it's here in all its glory, with several modes including Superstar, which is as close to a campaign mode as we're going to get. All you need to know is that you're on blue team, and you're vs the orange team.
