OnePlus 8 Pro Glacial Green 12+256GB MP 02389 review

My experience with OnePlus is limited since I started by reviewing the . With the pandemic going on, we didn’t get an in-person event to demo the OnePlus 8 and 8 Plus but luckily we got a review unit a few weeks later. Here are 5 things I should know about the OnePlus 8 Pro:

OnePlus 8 Pro review

The 8 Pro sees OnePlus get over an awkward hump. Expensive OnePlus phones are hard enough for long-term fans to swallow, and 5G has only made it more of a throat clogging issue. We have to pay £100 more this year. You do get other benefits besides 5G, like water resistance, wireless charging and a couple of top-quality cameras on the back. Is it worth the extra cash? Yes, just about. However, as the price of OnePlus phones carries on rising, we have to be more critical about the bad bits. Other high price phones last longer between charge and rivals are much better at taking photos of other people’s pets, which these days is more important than being able to make phone calls.

Good macro photos; Has 5G ;

Battery life isn’t the best ; Poor zoom camera;

OnePlus 8 Pro review

The OnePlus 8 Pro is a proper flagship phone. No more cutting corners. No more 'flagship killer' underdog mantra. OnePlus is now officially mixing it with the biggest names in mobile. It means the 8 Pro is also its most expensive handset to date, but there's plenty of bang for your buck to justify the cost - plus it's still a shade cheaper than rival Samsung, Apple and Huawei smartphones.

One of the best displays around; 5G and plenty of power; Reverse & fast wireless charging;

Most expensive OnePlus yet; Sizable rear camera bump; Less storage base model vs 7T Pro

Review: OnePlus 8 Pro is an excellent phone, but dang, it's pricey

Of the two new flagship phones from Chinese phone-maker OnePlus, the OnePlus 8 Pro is the higher-end device. In addition to 5G, which both phones have, it has IP certification for water resistance, a total of four cameras -- one at 48 megapixels -- and a bigger, 120Hz display. Available starting April 22, it's also pricier at $899 (£799) for 128GB storage and $999 (£899) for 256GB. (Australian prices aren't yet available, but £799 converts to roughly AU$1,570.) The OnePlus 8 starts at $699 (£599).

The OnePlus 8 Pro has a 120Hz display and (finally!) wireless charging. But is it worth paying more, or should you go with the OnePlus 8?

Reverse and wireless charging; Water-resistant; 120Hz display;

Pricey; Color-filter camera isn't useful;

OnePlus 8 Pro review

OnePlus’s first attempt at a fully featured flagship presses all the right buttons, and there really isn’t anything missing here. The lack of a fancy telephoto camera might disappoint some, but 30W wireless charging and an IP68 rating are welcome OnePlus firsts. The OnePlus 8 Pro may not be perfect, but there’s something here for everyone, and little that’s lacking. You’ll have to look elsewhere if you like your phones compact, but otherwise right now this is the best phone you can buy at this price - and still better than several that cost more.

OnePlus 8 Pro Smartphone Review: Now also charges wirelessly

We've waited a long time. Wireless charging and IP certification in a OnePlus smartphone have finally become a reality. A 120 Hz display and a colour filter camera are other features, too. We will clarify in this review whether the OnePlus 8 Pro is worthwhile at its high price of at least US$799.

The OnePlus 8 Pro is a great smartphone and is still relatively cheap, considering the features that...

bright and precisely calibrated 120 Hz display; smooth touchscreen; stylish and sturdy design; plenty of performance; good battery life; flexible camera system; fast memory; no throttling; precise GPS; many LTE bands; IP certification; fast-charging technology;

average call quality; high temperatures under load; only a USB 2.0 cable included; no mmWave 5G; no VHT160 with Wi-Fi 6;

OnePlus 8 Pro Review

If a phone's screen is its window to the world, the OnePlus 8 Pro shows you the world more beautifully than any other device. The $899 flagship has a brighter, more color-accurate, and more responsive display than any other phone on the market, even the $1,200 Samsung Galaxy S20+. But in the US, the OnePlus 8 Pro has a weird limitation—it's only 5G on T-Mobile's network, and even then, it lacks high-speed millimeter-wave 5G. Any $900 phone this year should really have some form of 5G in it, so we're awarding our Editors' Choice to the more affordable, more widely 5G-compatible OnePlus 8.Design and Display Before we get into details, here's a quick rundown of how the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro compare with the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ on some key differentiators. Note that we don't recommend the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra—not only is it $1,500, its camera doesn't work that well even after being patched. The OnePlus 8 Pro follows the recent trend toward relatively large p...

The OnePlus 8 Pro has a gorgeous display, fast wireless charging, and excellent cameras—we just wish it had better network support.

Best display on any smartphone today; Fast performance; Very good camera; High-speed wireless charging

5G on T-Mobile only; Night mode still a bit behind competitors

OnePlus 8 Pro Glacial Green 12+256GB MP 02389 review

The OnePlus 8 Pro delivers a big and beautiful 120Hz display, fast performance and the fastest wireless charging ever in a stunning design. But the cameras and 5G could be better. The OnePlus 8 Pro is now a better value thanks to the price reduction by OnePlus.

Bright and beautiful 120Hz display, Long battery life, Strong performance, Very good quad cameras, Super fast wired and wireless charging

Curved display causes accidental taps, No mmWave 5G support

OnePlus 8 Pro Glacial Green 12+256GB MP 02389 review

During the month of April OnePlus will launch the new smartphone line of the OnePlus 8 series, which should include OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro . It is rumored that the company also wants to return to the mid-range, after the failure of OnePlus X, creating a OnePlus 8 Lite that should be released...
