OnePlus 7T review: Almost the perfect budget flagship

The OnePlus 7T sounds like my perfect phone on paper, packing a nice high-end chipset, a bright 1,000 nit 90Hz screen, and the latest Android 10 software. While flagships are pushing the market into fatigue at over a thousand dollars, this phone champions affordability at "just" $600.

Display 90Hz is super smooth; and the screen gets quite bright for easy visibility outside; Super macro camera Being able to focus as close as an inch away won't be useful for most people; but it's very useful for me.

Display again I examined two units; and the screen is much less uniform at lower brightness than the older OnePlus 7 Pro; which is especially unpleasant when using Android 10's dark themes.

OnePlus 7T rated: Is it a big enough upgrade

Highlights include an upgraded Fluid AMOLED display, more powerful CPU, better fast charging and a new triple-sensor rear camera. The upgrades don't sound like much, but they add up to make the OnePlus 7T feel like a significant improvement on the original OnePlus 7.

Super smooth Fluid AMOLED screen; Speedy charging; Powerful performance

Camera still not industry leading

OnePlus 7T review: The perfect lovechild of the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro

One of the companies we've been closely tracking since its inception is OnePlus. The brand started off with the OnePlus One, a phone not many people knew about, but one that took the tech world by storm.

OnePlus 7T review: The best smartphone value of 2019

At this time of year we see high end flagships announced by Samsung, Apple, and Google with prices for the larger devices starting at $899. OnePlus entered the fray with one of its most affordable phones in the past couple of years with the OnePlus 7T .

Affordable prices for specs; Extremely responsive; Latest Android software; High quality design; fit; and finish; Loud stereo speakers

No dust/water resistance; No wireless charging

OnePlus 7T review

The OnePlus 7T is quite the upgrade over the standard OnePlus 7, sporting a larger 6.55in display, a bigger battery, improved camera setup and 30W fast charging support. The design is subtle but eye-catching, enhanced by the fourth-gen frosted matte glass finish.

OnePlus 7T review: Just the right amount of ‘pro'

Even without an edge-to-edge design, the OnePlus 7T is one of the best Android phones of the year-at any price.

Incredible display with ultra smooth scrolling; A truly excellent camera; Android 10 is ready to go out of the box

No wireless charging; No IP-rated water resistance

OnePlus 7T review: Just the right amount of ‘pro'

The reasons to not buy a OnePlus phone are rapidly shrinking. Where design, carrier support, and camera were all detriments on previous models, OnePlus has turned those from cons into pros over the past few models, and the $599 OnePlus 7T is truly a phone any manufacturer would be proud to call a...

OnePlus 7T

I find the OnePlus 7T very confusing, but I'd feel less confused if the OnePlus 7 Pro didn't exist. Taken purely on its own, as a $599 alternative to the iPhone XR or Galaxy S10e, it has a lot going for it-a terrifically responsive screen with a smooth UI, fast charging, and excellent wireless...

Good price for fast, smooth performance; Excellent wireless capabilities; Fast charging

Poor low-light camera performance; Less storage and shorter battery life than the OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus 7T Review

For years, OnePlus had a simple strategy: Release one phone, its best, at any given time. Often that was two phones a year, but that was fine; each phone was its best at the moment. This year, the company has already released three versions of the OnePlus 7: the OnePlus 7, the 7 Pro, and the 7 Pro 5G. The $599 OnePlus 7T is not actually a sequel to the 7 Pro, although it replaces the 7 Pro on T-Mobile's shelves. It's the sequel to the 7. (There's also a 7T Pro, but it isn't coming to the US.) Yes, it's confusing. And this confusion trickles over into the phone itself, which feels like a step back from the OnePlus 7 Pro. A Flatter Screen The OnePlus 7T is roomy. It measures 6.33 by 2.93 by 0.32 inches (HWD) and weighs 6.70 ounces. The screen is flat, not curved; the extra edges make the difference between the 7T's 6.55 inches and the 7 Pro's 6.67 inches on the same-size body. There's a notch at the top of the screen for the front-facing camera that doesn't bother. I like a flat s...

The OnePlus 7T for T-Mobile has terrific performance for its price, but it occupies an uncomfortable place in the company's phone lineup.

Good price for fast, smooth performance; Excellent wireless capabilities; Fast charging

Poor low-light camera performance; Less storage and shorter battery life than the OnePlus 7 Pro

One big plus!

I have been an Apple user since the 3 but got tired of being slowed down! I spent a lot of time researching and I can honestly say I am really happy with my OnePlus 7T. It's super fast, the camera is great, it's battery life is fantastic....I'm an android convert!!
