One Piece: Burning Blood is the latest game in the One Piece series. Rather than fight a whole bunch of smaller enemies and then take on the boss at the end of the level, these battles are all "boss" battles, where you will be fighting one on one against some of your favorite characters.

I'm pretty bad at keeping up with TV seasons, and once I've fallen behind, it often takes me a while to garner up the courage to sit through three or four 20-episode seasons to catch up. That's true for western television series, anyway.

Whoops, I went into this game thinking it was going to be another Pirate Warriors type game. Imagine my surprise when I saw that Spike Chunsoft was the developer, and that One Piece: Burning Blood is actually a fighting game.

One Piece: Burning Blood does the obvious thing. It creates a fighting game based off an anime with a ton of super powered characters. However, this time it doesn't work. The fighting engine is lacking, the characters are simply not balanced, and there's a general lack of meaningful content.
