The Olympus TOUGH TG-310 is an entry-level rugged camera that's perfect for the beach and any other general outdoor adventure. It can survive drops from 1.5m and can withstand underwater pressure down to 3m. It's also dust-proof and freeze-proof, but not scratch-proof.
Pros:
- Rugged
- Nice art filters
- Affordable
Cons:
- Not scratch-resistant
- Image definition isn't great
- Menu could be better

The Olympus TG-310 is a tough compact with 3D shooting abilities that offers a budget option for thrill seekers and adventurers. But can it live up to Olumpus' 'Tough' range by giving us a virtually bombproof compact?
Pros:

- Digital filter effects
- Capable of good image quality : Poor LCD monitor
- Buttons are small and stiff
- Panorama mode is rubbish
Cons:
- : Poor LCD monitor
- Buttons are small and stiff
- Panorama mode is rubbish

Olympus Tough TG-310
Image quality is nothing special, but this rugged, waterproof, low-cost camera makes a lot of sense in inhospitable environments.

Olympus TG-310
After several years of faithful service, the Olympus 'µ' (sometimes written 'mju') has bowed out and given way to a series of boring old letters.
Pros:
- Waterproof to 3 m
- shockproof to 1.5 m coldproof to -10 °C
- Low launch price but decent tech specs
- Picture quality is perfectly acceptable
- especially in wide-angle shots
Cons:
- The feel of the buttons
- Picture quality isn't so good in telephoto
- Slow to charge with USB charger
- Low-def screen that goes dark when viewed from below

Olympus Tough TG-310 review Review
The Olympus Tough TG-310 offers fairly good value for money, although its durability is more impressive than its performance. Also, its fiddly controls and poor-quality LCD screen conspire to make it feel rather underwhelming.
Pros:
- Waterproof
- shockproof and freeze-proof
- Small and light
- Eye-Fi compatible
Cons:
- Performance isn't great
- Buttons are awkward to use
- Poor-quality LCD screen
- Doesn't float
