Good luck with warranty they gave me the run around
Olympus doesn't back there products. I own 2 of these cameras, that we use for aquarium photography and know how to use them. Our newest camera failed and filled with water. Returned it at their request and they sent it back to us saying water damage was not covered.

Really good, sturdy camera. Have tested it in salt water dropped it in asphalt, sand, mud, and it keeps. The dive to 18 meters in fresh water no problem. Good and crisp images, the presets are really cruel think yes. Now I'm no expert, this is my first camera.

This is a great camera
I am still getting to grips with camera, but so far, so good. It takes good quality pictures instantly and works well in freezing temperatures. It is super easy to use too.

Olympus TG-1 Tough Compact Camera Review: Meet The Perfect Summer Sidekick
Every summer as you pack your bags for the beach, gear up for a festival or saddle up for a barbecue, you look at your camera and think one of two things depending on what you own: it's either too big and chunky to take, or it's too small and fragile to expect to get back.

Rugged Camera takes Very Good Photos
I purchased this camera becaiuse the specification list put it above most all weather cameras. The camera is clearly designed for outdoor use. 3 of the scene settings are for taking underwater photos. While I do not plan to go swimming with this camera the all weather abilities appealed to me.

The Best Camera Your Money Will Buy and Be happy About it, WOOOT
I have owned the Olympus tough cameras since they began. I am a true believer, not only do I need a camera small, tough and shoots a great picture, I need it dust resistant, water resistant, and when you download the shots, it is as though your looking at what you took the picture of... Nice.

Nice camera. JPEGs are high quality. User interface is simple and well-designed. Using it underwater is very simple, just need to verify that both hatches are double-locked before submersion. The macro mode produces truly spectacular images. It compares favorably with any SLR macro lens.
