Olympus SZ-14 review Review
The SZ-14 isn't perfect. The automated panorama mode is too fiddly compared to the sweep panoramas that are cropping up on its rivals. And there was a little more fringing than there ought to have been in some of the test results above.
Pros:
- Good colours under all lighting
- Great zoom
- Inexpensive
Cons:
- 720p maximum video resolution
- Some minor noise and fringing on images
- Fiddly panorama mode

Olympus SZ-14 Digital Camera Review
On Monday 23 January 2012 Olympus, like parents of a new born, were proud to announce an addition to the S-series family of cameras, the SZ-14. The press release [http://www.buy-n-shoot.com/news/olympus/olympus-sz-14-digital-camera.asp ] stated many great features such as a x zoom lens with a...

Olympus SZ-14 review
The travel zoom compact is still proving popular and Olympus is building a raft of small-bodied, big-zoom, low-cost cameras for 2012. Setting sail in the wake of the SP-620UZ ‘Ultra Zoom' we reviewed a few weeks back (16 megapixels and 21x optical zoom) comes the more slender SZ-14 ‘Super Zoom'.
Pros:
- Broad focal range
- relatively compact dimensions
- good value pricing
- reasonably consistent performance from shot to shot
Cons:
- Scroll wheel at the back is very slippery and it's hard to arrive at the setting you want without much back and forth
- battery life is so-so

Olympus SZ-14 Review
This review camera dropped out of the box - in bright red! Talk about making a statement! I'm not sure how you all feel about CICs - cameras in colours. It's not that important to me, except for the benefit of making the control IDs more visible.

Olympus SZ-14
The Olympus SZ-14 is likely to appeal to you if you are looking for lots of lens power without paying out for one of the top of the range cameras in this sector. By dropping some of the more advanced features Olympus have kept the price down.

- Lots of zoom for the price
- USB battery charge
- movie image stabilisation
Cons:
- Picture quality

Olympus SZ-14
The SZ-14 is a fun camera to shoot with, offering a long, 24x optical zoom lens and plenty of creative filters to boot. Image quality is not good enough to make this a wholehearted recommendation, however, as there are some serious noise problems as the sensitivity climbs, and the...
Pros:
- 24x optical zoom
- Lightweight construction
- Fun magic filters
Cons:
- Screen not particularly colour accurate
- Image stabilisation can't compensate for camera shake when shooting video at the telephoto end
- Very noisy images over ISO 200

- 24x optical zoom lens
- Compact metal body
- Magic filters
- Fast high-speed shooting modes
- Image quality
- In-camera panorama stitching
Cons:

- Thin
Cons:

Olympus SZ-14 review
A big zoom in a slim body makes for a versatile, convenient camera, and Olympus currently holds the record with this 24x zoom model. Its lens and overall shape is shared with the pricier Olympus SZ-31MR , and we're amazed to find these features in a camera that costs just £165.
