Pen E-PL5
With the OM-D E-M5, Olympus has a real winner with its retro DSLR looks and the fastest autofocus yet on the company's camera. The problem, of course, is that the OM-D E-M5 is on the high-end of the Olympus range, with a price to match.

- High degree of customisation
- Built-in stabilisation

Cons:
- IS not as good as some optical systems
- AF hesitant in movie modes
- 16:9 screen ill-suited to 4:3 stills

great compact camera extremely fast focus and shutter speed which is great for young kids that move quickly. Heaps of great features like touch screen, scene settings, art features. Can be used on auto or manual. This camera has the portability of a compact camera and the features of a dslr.

Olympus Pen Lite E-PL5
Not quite ready for the might of an OM-D? Olympus has churned out a very nice camera in the form of the Pen Lite E-PL5, which will satisfy many photographers looking for an upgrade from their compact camera or smartphone.

- Easy to hold and to use for beginners
- Flash Air cards for wireless connectivity work well

Olympus Pen Lite E-PL5
While much of the focus on Olympus in 2012 has been thanks to the success of the OM-D , it's time for the little Pen cameras to take some of the limelight. The Pen Lite E-PL5 succeeds the earlier Lite E-PL3 , and brings a range of improvements and an overhauled design.
