Olympus PEN LITE E-PL5 Review
There's one thing that Olympus has mostly got right: stylish camera designs, with clearly labelled functions and layout. However it seems like decades have been spent as the company has fumbled around with its viewfinder menu layout … and the PL5 is no exception.

Awesome camera at a great value and size!
A aps-c equivalent quality but in the size of a 4/3 camera is nothing more I can ask for from olympus.

Olympus E-PL5 review
Offering the power of a DSLR within the dimensions of a near pocket compact, the maker's latest retro-styled compact system camera arrives in the Olympus E-PL5, also known as the 'Pen Lite'. It's the direct successor to last summer's Olympus E-PL3 , as there was no E-PL4.
Pros:
- Sophisticated design
- Tilting touch-screen
- Anti shake built into camera
Cons:
- Small backplate buttons
- Plasticky kit lens
- Lacks convincing grip

First of all, HP Rove is in no way a tablet, but rather an All-in-One computer that you can use away from the desk, but from a distance it can seem like an ordinary tablet. As soon as you get close to...

Amazing camera - wish they stocked it in stores
Great camera for the size and price. The kits lens works fine for daily use and the focus is really fast. I'm also using it with the Panasonic 35-100mm f2.8 lens to shoot theater performances and it's a great combination.
Pros:
- low light
- fast focus
- bright LCD
- compact but capable
Cons:
- Need to find SCP to easy control

Olympus PEN E-PL5 Review
The whole idea behind MILCs is to provide photo-enthusiasts with a viable alternative to their heavy and bulky DSLR cameras. Although it's considerably lighter and more compact as compared to DSLR cameras, the problem with these cameras (especially with Micro 4/3 cameras) is that its sensor is much...

Olympus PEN E-PL5
First off, the Olympus E-PL5 inherits the exceptional 16-megapixel sensor from the groundbreaking OM-D E-M5, one of our all-time favorite cameras we've ever reviewed. Bolstered by this sensor and the TruePic VI image processor (also borrowed from the E-M5), the image quality we saw from the E-PL5...
Pros:
- Excellent image quality (especially for the price!)
- with good color and dynamic range
- thanks to the 16-megapixel sensor borrowed from the acclaimed Olympus OM-D E-M5
- Great high ISO performance for its class
- Extremely compact and lightweight design
- with well-thought-out ergonomics and control...
Cons:
- Camera may be too small for some
- Labyrinthine menus that are confusing and frustrating can take hours to figure out
- Autofocus isn't as fast and accurate as we'd like for shooting fast-motion action
- Continuous shooting falls to a mediocre 3.5 frames per second when tracking AF is enabled

Olympus PEN Lite E-PL5
The Olympus PEN Lite E-PL5 ($699.99 direct with lens) is the mid-level entry in the company's line of compact Micro Four Thirds cameras . It's a bit bigger than the PEN E-PM2 , but doesn't quite have the advanced control layout found in the PEN E-P3 .
Pros:
- Tilting rear display
- Optional EVF available
- Removable front grip
- In-camera art filters
- Sharp kit lens
- Good high ISO performance.
Cons:
- No built-in flash

Olympus E-PL5
During the fall of 2012, Olympus announced two new Micro Four Thirds PEN series cameras, the "Mini" E-PM2 and the "Lite" E-PL5. Spec-wise, both cameras are virtually identical -- both are advanced Micro Four Thirds camera systems that offer DSLR-quality imagery and video in the bodies of...
