Nice little hybrid p&s dsrl camera
I've only had the camera a week, but I'm loving it so far. I have no photography background. I wanted something that took nicer pics than my canon sd1200IS, but wasn't going to take me months to figure out how to use correctly.
Pros:
- Compact size, same sensor as Olympus DSLR E-series cameras, easy to use Auto with nice results
- Manual modes for even more options
Cons:
- Pricey accessories
- but you'll have that with all the micro 4/3's camera's
- so it's not just the E-PL1

Olympus Pen E-PL1 - Review
Bruce Buckman tests a Micro Four Thirds camera he wouldn't mind taking on holiday No matter how much you love it, no camera is the perfect tool for every job. I realised that a few years back while half way up the 275 stairs of Yorkminster Cathedral's tower, a weighty dSLR and a couple of lenses...

Olympus E-PL1 Digital Camera Review
It delivers on all of the promises made by Olympus and is undeniably worth the sub $1,000 investment. The E-PL1 is very impressive overall and thoroughly recommended.

Olympus Pen E-PL1 review Review
The Olympus Pen E-PL1 is cheaper and more plasticky than the Pen E-P1 and Pen E-P2, and ought to be worse -- but it's not. It handles better and does more, thanks to its built-in flash.
Pros:
- Impressive design and handling
- Excellent image quality
- Smashing video-recording features
Cons:
- Buttons feel rather cheap
- Shonky contracting-lens mechanism
