Olympus E-PL1: A great (yet simple) step up from pocket cameras!
The product: An Olympus E-PL1 Digital PEN Camera with 14-42 mm Lens. Why I bought it: My girlfriend and I regularly take the digital camera out and about and snap pictures wherever we go.

Far surpasses expectations!
When I was first looking for a DSLR I had my heart set on a Nikon D5000, but after playing around with a few Nikons and Canons, they all felt "uninspired" in my hands. As soon as I held this little gem in my hands I was sold! I bought it on the spot!

great product great service
IF you want a good zoom you will need to buy addition lenses, if you want better indoor photos you'll want to buy an additional flash. It is not a great camera for sports shots, unless you get additions.
Pros:
- Easy To Use
- Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus
- Good Image Quality
- Large Clear LCD
Cons:
- Lag / Shutter Delay
- Noisy At High ISO

Olympus Pen E-PL1 review Review
The Olympus Pen E-PL1 is cheaper and more plasticky than the Pen E-P1 and Pen E-P2, and ought to be worse -- but it's not. It handles better and does more, thanks to its built-in flash.
Pros:
- Impressive design and handling
- Excellent image quality
- Smashing video-recording features
Cons:
- Buttons feel rather cheap
- Shonky contracting-lens mechanism

Olympus Pen E-PL1
Just over a year ago I reviewed the Pen E-P1 , Olympus's first foray into the compact system camera market. The review was generally positive, but I criticised the camera's lack of a built-in flash and relatively high price compared to contemporary DSLRs.

Star buy w long legs
Bought this only a couple of months ago, ex-demo model that was being cleared so got it for a steal. For a model nearly two years old there was little expectation of being wowed, just thought it'd be fun to try it out at the price of a discounted mid-range compact.
Pros:
- Bought this only a couple of months ago, ex-demo model that was being cleared so got it for a steal
- For a model nearly two years old there was little expectation of being wowed, just thought it'd be fun to try it out at the price of a discounted mid-range compact
Cons:
- Screen a bit low-rent and can wash-out in bright daylight Processor shows its age when using some art-filters in photo mode
- and don't even think about using them in video mode

Olympus E-PL1 dSLR review
The quality and creative flexibility of a dSLR camera , yet small enough to take anywhere: This has been a recurring dream of many photography enthusiasts and a dream which, for many, came true with the release of the gorgeous, but rather expensive, Olympus PEN E-P1 last year.
