Olympus OM-D E-M5
The E-M5 is the new flagship Micro Four Thirds compact system camera from Olympus. The first in a brand new range of cameras dubbed OM-D, the E-M5 is a classically styled 16.1 megapixel model that offers the world's fastest auto-focus system and the world's first 5-axis image stabilisation system.

[REVIEW-OLYMPUS OMD E-M5]
This is a 16 megapixel micro four thirds camera in a body reminiscent of Olympus OM 35mm SLRs, but a little smaller. The high resolution electronic viewfinder is built into the classic SLR hump. The LCD swivels vertically but not horizontally, so it is useful for waist- and low-level photography.

Olympus has always been an innovative camera brand. For 63 years it has stuck to one mission – that of miniaturising. My first camera, an 11th birthday present in 1969, was an Olympus Pen EE, which squeezed 72 pictures on to a 36-exposure roll of 35mm film.

Cons:
- Exposure compensation dial changes easily
- Small buttons
- No in-camera chromatic aberration correction
- Bundled flash is weak
- Video compression artifacts with rapidly-moving subjects, Odd power switch location, Exposure compensation dial changes easily, can't be turned off, Small buttons, EVF...

Olympus OM-D E-M5 review by halfmac
The best m43rds to date. I put my hands on an Olympus OM-D (EM-5) and I loved it right away. It left the store with me. I have been testing it on real shoots. The camera did a great job. I shot both stills and movies. When Olympus first announced the camera I was impressed but was not that excited.
Pros:
- Small
- light
- weather sealed
- retro looks
- great viewfinder and image quality
Cons:
- wish it had a flip LCD on back
