Olympus OM-D E-M5
In 2008, Olympus wowed photographers with a retro-styled prototype of what would become its first Micro Four Thirds PEN camera , the E-P1 ($799.99, 3.5 stars). In the years since, the company has refined the PEN designs, adding models that support optional EVFs and other accessories like the...
Pros:
- Compact body
- Fully weather sealed
- Crisp LCD EVF
- Articulating rear display
- Sharp kit lens
- Impressive high ISO performance
- Fast autofocus
- Shoots at 9 frames per second
- In-body stabilization
- Large native lens library
- Optional grip available
Cons:
- External flash
- Lacks a standard mic input

Outstanding smaller camera for experienced photogs
What's great about it: The IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization) makes your still camera act like it's on a Steadicam (which I've used as a pro) What's not so great: The manuals are mediocre (both printed and .pdf). This water-and-dust-resistant camera produces outstanding prints and video.
Pros:
- IMAGE QUALITY
Cons:
- Manuals evidently written by non-native-English-speaking person

Features & Build There's no disputing the OM-D looks fantastic, successfully combining the classic OM film SLR aesthetic with modern, curved dials and a slick, matte black finish. Inside, the solid magnesium alloy body houses a Micro FourThirds 16.1Mp Live MOS sensor - the highest resolution chip...

Totally dig my camera. The pics I have taken are already favorites. Really easy to use though learning all the options is TOUGH (for me)...the manual can be confusing in spots and nothing about lens which has it's own options.. Get the Zuiko 12-50..
Pros:
- Great looking pics! Good size
- durable
- terrific shooting options
- stabilization...so much good
Cons:
- Lens cap fell off and was lost day two
- Learning curve a bit challenging
- Lens did not come with instructions so had to use net to figure out

A big step forward at its time
Have had this camera for one-and-a-half years now. It was a revolution in mirrorless cameras (and photography in general) when it first came out. I also have a Nikon D7000, but use this one more due to sheer portability.

the omd
The omd was probably one of the best mirrorless cameras when it first came out .... i have 2 systems the mfts and the leica .. i must say the omd though not as good as a leica is far superior to most crop sensor mirrorles including the cannon eos m which is a lot slower than the omd ( infact its one...

Brilliant!!
Ive looked for a DSLR type camera for years but only purchased this recently after reading multiple reviews and noticing it has won Camera of the year in various publications. This camera is known as a micro four thirds camera, basically it is smaller than your normal standard sized and full frame...

First, I find it amazing that the E-M5 has not generated a review on Henrys yet? I bought this camera last November and I've had 7 months to play with it and here are my thoughts and impressions, in no particular order: - The camera has a beautiful retro look this is as functional as it is...
