I bought this as I wanted to update our 8 year old DSLR, but I wanted to take more video. The sensor stabilisation was the killer feature I wanted, and a more compact camera was appealing for family outings when the DSLR is too much hassle.
I recommend this camera in good light and low iso, but image noise makes iso 1600 and above unusable . The constant f2.8 aperture lens is great, but i prefer a bit better low light capability. John.
Last the same as the OEM battery plus the charger is able to charge both oem and the batteries included therefore I only bring this and just kept the Olympus charger at home.
The rumours we've been hearing since December have finally been confirmed today with the announcement by Olympus of its OM-D E-M10 camera, the third in an increasingly interesting line-up of high-performance, SLR-like interchangeable-lens cameras with Micro Four Thirds sensors.
Don't call Olympus' new entry-level OM-D camera an entry-level OM-D camera. That's what we mustn't say. I don't care what the camera maker calls it: at the end of the day it's a fantastic new OM-D.
