Olympus OM-D E-M10

The Olympus OM-D E-M10 is an affordable camera that has a lot to offer. It comes with a 16 megapixel Four Thirds sensor. It is waterproof and great for taking pictures outdoors and indoors. Just like the E-M1 it comes with the latest TruePic VII image processor and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.

This camera has a lot of trimmings. It is perfect for the serious photographer. It comes with a built-in viewfinder. Plus you get several customizable controls. It is perfect for the photographer that wants to take control over shooting options. On top of that, it is light and compact. There are more options than with other cameras.

This camera is impressive. The best part is that it offers value for the money. It offers excellent image quality and many excellent controls. Overall it is the best mirrorless camera on the market.

The E-M10 offers more than the previous generation and is affordable. You will love the fact that purchasing this camera won't break the bank.

The Olympus OM-D E-M10 comes with a powerful lens. The 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ power zoom lens allows one to take better photos. If you want to take shots from a distance, this is the perfect camera.

Looking closely at the E-M10, you will see that it offers protection from the elements. It has an improved rear screen and the ability to easily send images off to a smart device. The result is an accurate view of everything.

The E-M10 features a full twin dial control setup, which provides access to exposure settings. There is also an easy to use touchscreen. Olympus has not done anything to make its menu simpler.

Some of the top features are the improvement to the rear screen. There is also 'Adaptive Brightness' viewfinder technology. This improves the viewfinder and the brightness is based on the lightning conditions. Overall, the Olympus OM-D E-M10 has a lot to offer. If you are looking for a professional grade camera, don't wait any longer to purchase one.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 review

Offering 16-megapixel stills and full-HD video in one compelling package,  the new Olympus E-M10 is the retro-styled camera for photo enthusiasts who couldn't justify spending a pro-like grand on the previous OM-D E-M5 or E-M1 models.

Classic design provides a premium feel; fairly priced compared to existing E-M1 and E-M5 models in the OM-D series; pop up flash and Wi-Fi connectivity included; tilting LCD screen with high resolution; 1.4 million dot eye level finder

Smaller sensor size than other big name rivals; nose butts up against LCD screen when using eye level viewfinder

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Review

The Olympus OM-D E-M10 very much seems more like a third creation OM-D style than a step-down from its two bros. It gets many functions we liked from both of them and provides them in a bit more compact, less heavy program.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 review: Olympus' E-M10 offers a good mirrorless alternative to a first dSLR

The E-M10 is a solid Micro Four Thirds camera that sits at the bottom of Olympus' higher end OM-D line; the line includes more advanced features, like an electronic viewfinder and tilting display, than the more compact PEN cameras. It's both designed and priced more for enthusiasts than the always-auto crowd, but with both a basic touchscreen interface and a physical-control-driven advanced interface, it's great if you want a camera you can grow into.

Though it doesn't deliver the best photo quality, the sum of the Olympus OM-D E-M10's design, performance and features add up to a nice upgrade from a point-and-shoot.

The Olympus OM-D E-M10's design and interface works well for both beginning and advanced photographers; it has a well-rounded feature set; and it's fast enough for general-purpose kids-and-pets photography.

It produces good-but-not-great photos and videos.

Olympus E-M10

Olympus boils down the enthusiast-oriented E-M5 and professional E-M1 cameras into the lightweight and affordable Olympus E-M10 that truly is the "OM-D for all". With the E-M1's powerful image processor, a similar AA-filterless sensor and the E-M5's compact design, the E-M10 manages to bring...

Great image quality especially from RAW files; Excellent dynamic range for a Four Thirds sensor; Very good high ISO performance; Realistic colors and excellent hue accuracy; Built-in Wi-Fi with remote control and sharing features; Improved HD video; Lightweight and very portable; Built-in pop-up...

Contrast-Detect AF struggles with small and low-contrast subjects; Mediocre battery life; No external microphone or headphone jack; Mediocre burst speed with continuous AF; No weather sealing; Heavy-handed high ISO noise reduction, Auto white balance too warm indoors, Underwhelming in-camera HDR...

Olympus OM-D E-M10 review

If, like us, you've hankered after the more 'classic' models in Olympus' contemporary OM-D range but baulked at the £1,000+ price tags, then the £699, 16 megapixel OM-D E-M10 and zoom lens combo is the answer to your prayers.

Decent price; Wi-Fi and tilting toucscreen; Stunning images

Viewfinder could be comfier; Smaller sensor than rivals

Great Expectations

Captures great pictures, Good size vs; performance ratio, especially when you include lenses, Comprehensive still photography feature set, Very effect

Not a video camera; Electronic viewfinder is not an optical viewfinder; Image stabilization makes slight ocean noise while active

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mirrorless Camera Review

The Olympus OM-D E-M10 offers a lot of compelling features, especially considering the $699 (body only) price. It has a bright and clear tilting touch screen, effective image stabilization, and plenty of shooting modes and controls.

Small compact design handles well; Detailed images with true-to-life color; Built-in Wi-Fi and powerful apps work well with smartphones; Impressive 8-shot-per-second burst shooting

Sluggish autofocus; especially in low light; Aggressive noise reduction; No external microphone input; Some setting adjustments require multiple steps

As a long time Canon shooter, I have debated getting into mirrorless to make carrying a camera less of a chore, and to take better photos than my iPhone. Thus ensued months of investigation, reading every review I could get my hands on and struggling with my decision.

Great camera

The E-M10 offers almost everything the E-M5 did, plus a bit more, at a much lower starting price. It was the most complete mirrorless camera so far.

Great upgrade to Olympus EPL-3, which was really good already.

I bought the EPL-3 last summer to have with me all the time, since my DSLRs are so big but had trouble seeing the screen in sunlight. Upgraded to this instead of buying a add-on EVF. Great camera

Electronic viewfinder Fast and accurate focusing Great picture quality Small with big features Wi-Fi control from my phone/tablet

Menu a little complicated ISO 200 lowest
